While I do think the same about Clem's appearance not quite matching up, that's a bit too nitpicky for my tastes and it isn't what really bothers me. They just haven't made any effort to get us to connect with the new cast in the same way we connected with the Season 1 cast. Hell, if it weren't for Pete's resemblance to my father I wouldn't be the mindless fanboy you all know me to be when his name gets mentioned. They seem to be focusing less on characterization and more on drama. Now that I think about it, I believe Pete could've played a large part in Nick's continued development. But then they decided to sacrifice Pete for the shocker moment (which may have developed him temporarily, but then we miss the character interaction between them).

*sighs* It saddens me to think about the wasted potential of Season 2. They had a lot of good ideas to work with, they just didn't execute them very well. They wouldn't need to do much. Just go back and add in a few scenes here and there, tweak some characteriztions, and just slow things down a bit. Eh, no use in crying over spilled milk. Let's just hope they can pull some neat stuff out of Episodes 4 and 5.

Yeah, I was looking forward to more scenes between the two of them. I would have loved to see Pete's reaction to the bridge situation with Matthew. That would have been great.

Well we didn't specifically say it was shit, but I think we agree it doesn't come close to season 1. There were some good ideas, and they didn't work with them.

And there was definitely Nick. Nick could've carried the season for me alone, he's that good.

Honestly, I've always thought the season 2 Clem design was a bit off. Any time I see a side by side of season 1 Clem with season 2 Clem I always think how hard it is to believe it's the same person. And it has nothing to do with how she's changed as a person. The faces just don't quite match in a progressive manner to me... She looks like she could be related to Clementine, but not Clementine. Clearly they made her skin tone darker in the new appearance because of confusion in the community about her ethnicity, but it made her look less like Clem which is kind of a mistake. Not to mention younger Clementine had two detail lines below her eyes and those just disappeared later. Maybe I should try editing the textures to make her look more like Season 1 Clementine or something. Please do that.

If Telltale just so happens to reintegrate Nick back into the story, would you play the next episode? Assuming you don't want to be spoiled, would you like to be told in case of that event?

Probably not. They already fucked it too hard. If they do reintegrate Nick, let me know, though. It'll probably only be for a death scene, because Season 2 doesn't know anything that it has going for it.

While The first two episodes Definitely did not live up to season 1's masterpieces, I think In Harms Way is more or less the same caliber. I will agree though that Season 2 is not as emotional as Season 1 was, but judging by this new episode, Telltale might be able to reel me back in. I thought episode 1 was lower, episode 2 and 3 were slightly above and par respectably, and remember, season 1 did not hit the emotional highs until episode 3, and Alvin's death was sad, it was episode 5 that was the death of us all emotionally.

Basically what everyone else is saying; the development of characters through the story immerses the player in the story. And we really haven't had too many instances of that thus far, save for maybe Sarah (Clem of course, as she's the main character, but like sos said, they're focusing too heavily on it). Nick's potential has unfortunately been flushed down the toilet, which just leaves a bunch of one dimensional characters that we STILL know nearly nothing about (aside from Kenny, but that's because he was in Season 1). Yeah that is true, we never truly knew Alvin or Carlos, but we still liked them anyway, I still call that good writing.

Season 1 was more fleshed out and grounded. Season 2 is putting a too heavy an emphasis on the "LOOK HOW MUCH CLEMENTINE HAS CHANGED" moments and the shocker moments. And that's not what season 1 was about at all. Definitely. That's why All That Remains was really hard to adjust to, not to mention that she doesn't really look like how she used to, either. Am I the only one with that problem? I can't see Season 1 Clementine at all, amid the facial structure change, voice change, skin tone change and facial detail changes. The only thing that's the same is the hair and the hat. Episode 1 is literally screaming "THIS IS DARK! LOOK HOW BLEAK IT IS! ALL IS LOST! CLEM IS BADASS NOW! LIKE THIS GAME BECAUSE IT'S DARK! LOOK WE KILLED OMID AND MADE CLEM SEW UP HER OWN ARM BECAUSE WE'RE EDGY LIKE THAT!"Ugh, the whole Omid debacle was a real low for me, it was so dumb, no matter how you splice it.
