Can you please keep it to that other thread? I'm not a moderator, but the constant talking about Sonic is starting to get annoying.

I was reading through this thread and come across that and... well, yeah, it just made me think of how glad I am that he's gone.

To be fair, you're more active on this forum than I am, and you were bothered by him a lot more than I was, so I get it. I just hope the topic is done with for good after all that quality OTWDF DramaTM

If studying ecology in high school taught me anything is that smaller populations can suffer huge impacts even if the perturbation is minimal, specially when compared to larger populations.

Episode's going to be 70-80 maybe 90 minutes long clem_is_awesome and I found out. This is 99% accurate. Won't say how I know though, just take my word for it.

Well then I can't really believe it if I'm just supposed to "take your word for it".

Well then I can't really believe it if I'm just supposed to "take your word for it". Probably looking up telltale employees' play time across achievements on steam. Y'know, like people here did for TWAU. If there's a new method of finding something we (and by we I mean usually Tormunds) are the first to know.

Y'know, like people here did for TWAU2. If there's a new method of finding something we (and by we I mean usually Tormunds) are the first to know. Alright. Weird she didn't say that then. Also, you said TWAU2 and I was very confused and excited for just a moment there.

BREAKING: BRUNER IS GONE!I can't help but feel that what I wrote sometime ago was true, especially this part: It's clear something went wrong after Bruner became CEO. Seeing what happened after that, it's clear that his vision won over the board - quick and cheap development (likely outsourced a lot more than their previous titles) of short episodes. This is also the moment that something truly went off the rails. (...) Then comes Batman and I'm 100% sure that Telltale felt underwhelemed by how low it sold, but this is also where Bruner's hypothetical vision for the company completely fell apart. (...) And then the disaster happens. The game has a godawful PC launch, with lots of gameplay/graphics bugs and glitches;it turns out that the console versions have a lot of these issues too. (...) But then there's a wave of refund requests (as it could've been evidenced on Steam discussion groups). And Telltale, for the first time in YEARS, knows that they fucked up big time and tries to do damage control. They release one patch during the first week of release, and then - before the finale - another major patch that optimizes the game. It doesn't work, sales are still low. (...) This is the sign that Telltale's in trouble. Batman underperformed, but hey - one mistake might happen, right? But here's the catch - they have TWDS3 announced as their fall title. Guessing from all the behind the scenes stuff that resurfaced recently (...) they realized that after Batman fiasco they can't take any chances and probably decided to play it safe - or maybe they didn't have enough money to follow through with their original plans. (...) TWD3 was likely quickly rewritten or scaled down from the 'big' game to a typical TT one (railroaded, little-to-no hubs, choices with no impact) to make the release date. The game probably didn't have its storyline finished before release. (...) People simply grew tired of TT's shtick. Other developers showed they can do choice-consequence games better while Michonne, GOT and Batman were either panned or received polarized reception by the fandom. People simply decided they're not going to settle for a subpar story and buy whatever TT pushes out. Now TT desperately announced Guardians, coinciding with the release of the movie to build up on the hype, but they know they're fucked. Now they're trying to scramble a cohesive story for TWDS3, Guardians is a question mark. GOT2 might be their last resort.
Batman was the first mistake and ANF is another. The next ones might be quite costly for TT. There was a mass exodus of the (arguably) most talented writers from TT. Even Brad Kane is gone. Bruner was supposed to lead the studio into the future while they grew. Also it probably had something to do with the Lionsgate deal and SuperShow, which I'm sure is 100% cancelled at this point, they will probably try to make people forget about it. They won't risk money right now, when their situation is uncertain. Unfortunately, with Connors as CEO and no post-TWD era writers except for Darin, it doesn't look good.

Which writers are gone, exactly?
Honestly, this might be a good thing. I don't know, it could be terrible, too. I just hope that it signifies some kind of change.

Just finished Ep1. Are you kidding me? Boatmaster dies from a fucking car accident? I legitimately refuse this happened. Javier was alright, have no real complaints with him. I've played Clem as innocent as possible in S2 and she turns out to be really annoying in S3. Guess this happens regardless of our choices. I really had fun talking back to her, and laughed at all the dialogue options that kept on insisting that she could handle herself, "she's so badass, guys!" Mariana was too pure for this world. Honestly, I immediately preferred her over Clem. I'm assuming she dies no matter what choices you pick in Ep1, so I'm not going to replay just to have her survive and get a bullshit Sarah death in Ep2 or something. I'm still miffed over her death.-Stayed the night -Let the guy go -Told the truth, was allowed to walk around -Left in the morning -Stayed with family Episode was pretty short, and I've got issues with the Kenny scene. Who were the new writers? I haven't played any of the recent TTG, so I couldn't recognize them. Some of the writing was a little awkward. 7/10. I'll probably play Ep2 tomorrow. This is why we're not seeing any conversation about this, holy shit. Like seriously, how many of you guys replayed ANF? Then think back to old TTG days. I had 2 playthroughs running throughout my entire playthrough of S1, and in TWAU, I made 3 different save files before episode 2 even came out. Yeah I always had different save files back on TWDS1, and that was standard all the way through GOT, but this, nope one and done baby.
