Finished Hell's highgway, finally. I really liked it. Great series, tha tneeds a motherfucking sequel to finish it. I actually got emotional in the last scene. Characters are interesting, gameplay is good, war is portrayed pretty well. I can safely recommend the series. Red though I still get torn up a little thinking about Red. But at least he finally got to see his family again.

Alright, so while Brotato and I were discussing the series a little earlier, I had a thought about Leggett. Major Spoilers for Hell's Highway and RtH30. Leggett took Baker's pistol because he wanted to die. Not just at the hill when the Germans were overrunning Fox Company, but ever since Allen and Garnett died. He was a super douche, no doubt about it, but he never wanted to get either of them killed. After Baker told him to keep what happened a secret from the others, Leggett wanted to be punished anyway for what he'd done so he took the Death Pistol from Garnett's body and kept it with him during the rest of the Normandy campaign in hopes that he would die. Him losing his shit during the final battle and screaming at the Germans to take him? He finally saw his opportunity to be punished for what he'd done and he took it. It was the only way he felt he could atone. Just my thoughts on it. Can't believe it took me 7 years to think of that.

That last scene in hh, with you know who, has got to be one of saddest moments in gaming for me. Props to gearbox for doing it like they did

Props to gearbox for doing it like they did Yep, it proves that Gearbox is capable of great storytelling and emotional moments, now if only they would make another Brothers in Arms and not more Borderlands, come on, I like that series as much as everyone else, but please, do another BIA!

That mod Rock posted earlier is great. I had tons of sildiers under my command, but we were pinned down by an MG. Instead of trying to flank it, I ordered them all to attack mg directly, and waited until they're done. After a minute, I see that the mg is down. I walk out of my cover and see all the way towards it covered in bodies of my men. Only very few survived. What a slaughter, man. I love it.

Reminds me of the time I tried to take St. Come-du-Mont. The MG at the city limits had us pinned down and the Krauts were all over the far end of the road taking potshots at us while a mortar team was bombarding our position. The mortars got closer, and with no time to think of a better plan I ordered my Assault Team to charge down the road while the Fire Team covered them, where they would at least be safe from the mortars. I started following them as three of them emerged from behind the building we were taking cover behind, and in about the span of a second a mortar shell landed directly on top of those three men. The explosion threw me off my feet, and with the blast still ringing in my ears as I stood up with blurry vision, the smoke cleared and those three guys were gone. Totally vaporized. I took cover behind the building again as the MG finished cutting down the rest of the Assault Team, and before I could order my Fire Team into a flanking position another mortar landed directly in the middle of them. I was looking straight at Red when he was turned into a red cloud. We charged, because now it was the only thing we could do, and half of the survivors died before reaching the German positions. One of them tossed a grenade at me, but just before it went off and killed me one of my soldiers dived onto it and saved my life. We cleared out the German mortar position and MG nest immediately after, with a grand total of four survivors out of the original 20 I had started the mission with.

So in addition to picking up KF2 today, I also bought the BiA Pack on steam, which I've been meaning to do for a while now. I finally have all three games on Steam, which is great because my copy of Earned in Blood stopped working years ago and I hate having to dust off the Xbox to play Hell's Highway.

And it only took us 7 years, just like Fallout 4, here's hoping its the Battle of the Bulges, a winter themed Brothers in Arms sounds interesting.

Command mod for rth is just so fun. While taking over the farm, I was getting targeted by a mortar team, so I just ordered everyone to assault them directly. I got hit by a mortar in the middle of an open field, seeing Corrion's body lying dead next to me, but I somehow got up after a while, and saw a trail of bodies all the way to the mortar team. Only 2 men out of my whole squad survived and finished off the germans.
