Without spoilers, how long is Episode 1? Is it the usual LiS length?

Without spoilers, how long is Episode 1? Is it the usual LiS length? Hell, I didn't even keep track of how long it took me to finish it. Some were saying that it takes up to 3 to 4 hours. Mainly because they spent a lot of time exploring.

So I'm trying to avoid ANY spoilers like the plaque (although I saw some vague screenshots that hopefully not spoiling the whole episode) and will get around playing it by the weekend.

I wonder if I'll be able to avoid spoilers? Won't be able to play this for a while. I might just go ahead and watch a playthrough but... eh

I finished episode 1 of LiS 2. Overall, I definitely enjoyed it, despite its flaws. Let's just get this out of the way. The political message was extremely ham-fisted and not subtle at all. Mexican man gets shot by trigger-happy white cop after his kids are being bullied by a dumb racist white kid, then the kids get accused of stealing and are kidnapped by a racist white hillbilly Trump supporter (he directly says "You're the reason we need to build that wall") who suggests calling ICE to check that they're not illegal immigrants, and they're saved by a bearded fat journalist/blogger who claims that everything is political. Honestly, I felt that all this really detracted from the whole experience. If you really feel like it's necessary to put some kind of political message in a video game, at least try to implement it in a less cringeworthy way.
I'm not here just to complain though. Like I said, I really enjoyed the episode overall. The art style still works really well, there's some really nice music, there are a lot of choices to be made even if they don't change much (I got kidnapped even though I didn't steal anything), and some of the interactions between SeΓ‘n and Daniel are heartwarming.

I wrote to him and... "Life is Strange and Before the Storm use different game engines, that's why.
The "swap" videos you saw for LiS consist in switching two files from the same game archive. It's very basic and obviously very limited too.
What you want me to do would mean importing a model created from scratch to work in the LiS game engine. It's a very complex thing to do and completely different from the swap videos you mentioned. I was able to do that for Before the Storm but there is no proper injector to do the same thing in LiS. The engine used for LiS is more complex. To give you an idea nobody in the world managed to create a proper injector for this engine over the past ten years. While theoretically possible I'm honestly not sure LiS will be modifiable one day."
Ugh. ;(

Christ is that unsubtle. I guess the French don't get subtlety along with teenagers, dialogue and school.
