I saw something about Nick's potential sacrifice broached over on the TT Forums, where Nick will make a call back to the beginning of Episode 2. A scenario where he'd comment on whatever interaction he and Clem had in the shed, or he'll ask Clem about what happened with Pete just before she left him. I'd really like that. Especially if Nick says "Well, we're burning daylight" or some variation just before he sacrifices himself. It's be a nice callback to both Pete's final words in the truck and what Luke said when they began their business venture. That would be amazing. Maybe he hangs back or something to slow walkers down or something and says, "You gotta go; we're burning daylight." That would be nice, some sort of a callback to episode 2, slowing down walkers though, sounds like it could go the way of Kenny season 1, which, really, I would prefer conformation of death, not ambiguous or off screen.

I sadly expected that, what a huge ass waste, that and we all know Christa is coming back, its just when. She's probably coming back as a corpse in 205. I hope to god she doesn't, otherwise I will be very pissed that they wasted BOTH Omid and Christa horribly.

A nice little bookend to wrap up Nick's story that also symbolizes how he's come into his own and become more like his uncle rather than living in Luke's shadow like he said he was in Episode 2.

If Amid the Ruins is like A House Divided, then I might end up liking it more again. But if it's like In Harm's Way, ehhh...

Death audio/visibly gets bitten somewhere he cant amputate would fix that

Death audio/visibly gets bitten somewhere he cant amputate would fix that Seeing him get bitten in, like, the shoulder as several dozen walkers closed in around him would be nice and leave no doubts as to what happened to him with the added bonus of not forcing us to see such a beloved character torn apart. I'd really prefer to NOT see Nick die like that.

Death audio/visibly gets bitten somewhere he cant amputate would fix that I suppose, but if he is going down, make it happen on screen and make it sad as can be.

So we all agree that none of us have killed Nick in canon playthrough? Yes? Good.

I'd prefer not to also, but for me anyway, seeing it happen always makes it more sad, and I don't want them to chicken out half way or do something like Kenny did in season 1.

So we all agree that none of us have killed Nick in canon playthrough? Yes? Good. Not gonna lie, when I first played AHD, I was contemplating just selling him out to Walter, I can't remember why. Maybe I resented that he'd lived and Pete had died. As soon as he yelled "please, help me!" when that walker grappled him, I knew I'd made the right choice not selling him out.

I made a promise to Pete that I'd watch out for him no matter what. Though seeing Nick want to come clean about Matthew when he discovered the truth made me like him for who he was, a good, person, and not just watch out for him because his uncle asked me to.

I think the promise to Pete was what made me stick up for Nick. If it hadn't been Pete's dying wish then nick probably would have died.
