Yeah, Willard wasn't made to be liked. It's kind of important in this story that you know the antagonists are, for the most part, the bad guys. But depending on how you interpret certain characters from the main group, you might consider them to be equally bad.

Well, I read all the chapters in one day. I got to say, really amazing work, Rock. Inferno has definetly surpassed FUBAR. You've written the characters really well. After all that Farley did, Istill feel sorry for him and I was hoping Conner wouldn't kill him. Lynch needs to die, though. He's a monster.
There story is coming to an and, isn't it?

There's six chapters left. And Farley was meant to be more complicated than just the snarky asshole he was in FUBAR, so I used Inferno to lay the background for why he does the things that he does: For Conner, and for his fiance Lucy. He's a nice guy deep down, and he didn't do the bad things he did weren't because he liked doing them, but they were still pretty bad.
Also, which characters were your favorites, if I may ask?

Character wise, I have to go with Farley. I think he's the most complicated, interesting and morally grey character. I always like those. But personality wise...
I'm not sure. I liked Riley and Beth a lot, Josh seemed like an alright guy, even though he was surrounded by monsters. But I think my favourite is Jack/Tanner. He put his group in a big danger, sure, but he is a good man. When he saw robert doing bad shit, he acted. When Farley and Jen were arguing, he was trying to calm them down. And I feel sorry for him, because I don't see the story ending happy for this guy.

My favorites are Conner, Farley, and Jen. I'm really glad I spared Farley during FUBAR, because through him I was able to expand on both his and Conner's lives from before the Apocalypse. I liked writing for Jen because of her personality (not all that different from Farley, really) and because I think I managed to pull off her death scene pretty well. That entire chapter is one of my favorites.

Yeah, her death scene was pretty good. She and Farley were remining me of Lilly and Kenny. You know, if I had to pick a favourite character in entire series, I'd still pick Conner's team leader, I forgot his name. (I know, he's my favourite and I can't even remember his name). And of course, Roman. river runs cold is part of the series fater all.

Conner's squad leader was named Keenan. And yeah, Down by the River is a part of the series and it's what happens to Conner and Beth some time after the events of Inferno. After Inferno ends, I feel that their story is complete. Aside from a loose end or two, I've told their tale in its entirety.

Also, I just noticed that your story is completely ignored on fanfiction net. What the fuck? All those Pastries stories with horrible writing are getting a tone of reviews, while a good story with complex characters is completely ignored.

Yeah, I think it might have to do with the "Mature" rating I put on it. FF.net automatically filters out stories that are rated "M" and unless you manually select the option to view Mature stories in the filter options, all you get is stories rated K-T. Believe me, I'd love for more people to read this.
The alternative is Labba shit actually being liked more overall than an actual story, which I don't want to be true.

I agree.more people like Clem getting it on with Luke in a smoochie time story than this, which makes no sense.

Well, let's stop discussing that Pastries crap in this thread. After all, tomorrow is when Conner and Lynch finally face each other.

Shit, did I really just try to hype that up? We all know who wins already. I'm pretty dense sometimes...
