I might play this.
Also, I really don't like most silent protagonists, especially in games that have you interact with lots of other people, so I kind of hope that the main character does have a voice.
I only ever played New Vegas, and I kind of stopped playing that because I just got bored of it I guess...

Looks good. I'm hyped as shit, but at the same time...
I was hoping for it to be closer to New Vegas than Fallout 3, even though I know it's being developed by Bethesda rather than Obsidian. F3 isn't bad, but you all know my feelings when it comes to this.

Yep, also I just read that its not going to be an option for 360 and PS3, just next gen and PC, which is good. Second, yes it seems likely that the main character will be voiced, by Booker DeWitt from the looks of it. Seriously, just compare the voices, they sound the same, its not like Joel of Rhys where he changed his voice, its his DeWitt voice.

Kotaku apparently found some leaked info, and some of it appears to be in the game anyway. The whole voiced protagonist, Boston, all that good stuff. It also said that the backstory for your character is, your not a Vault Dweller, rather, your a cryogenically frozen soldier from around the Great War period. Might not be true, but if it is, that's interesting.

Its dated around 2013, so its old, but a lot of the info, and even the look of the protagonist, is what appeared in the trailer, so... I wonder. kotaku.com/leaked-documents-reveal-that-fallout-4-is-real-set-in-1481322956

If that info is correct, and at the present moment there is no reason to not believe it, I love the direction they are going. But seeing how Troy Baker clearly is the voice of the main character, I feel I have an instant obligation to make a playthrough with the character name being Booker DeWitt.

It just feels weird that there isn't an actual voice. I suppose it's better than in Dishonored or Half-Life, where they try to characterize a silent protagonist.

As for why I dislike voices on created characters, well mostly because I imagine the character as being me, which is hard to do when you hear some super gruff voices coming from your character.
