I really don't wanna sound like a little bitch, but how's the difficult of New Vegas compared to 3? I was playing on Very Easy and couldn't do dick. I had been out in the Wasteland for hours and still had no caps and nowhere to sleep off any injuries, it was absolute insanity. I love awesome writing and meaningful choices, but if my talentless self can't functioning within the game it's all for naught. I just don't wanna waste any more money on games that will sit there unplayed. Should be relatively similar, I would think. Did you just start a new game, and if so, did you head south from Goodsprings toward Primm? In the beginning there's a bit of a set path the game wants you to take. You don't *have* to, technically, but if you stray from it then shit gets difficult.

I can't remember what it's called. Also, in NV does the sole survivor actually talk/interact or was that just a new thing they did with Fallout 4?

NV, 3 and earlier did not have those.

If things are too obviously OP as fuck, you're probably heading the wrong way. IIRC, you're supposed to head towards Boulder City first. Talk to people around Goodsprings and Primm until you hear about Boulder City.

Which can be done, but it requires so much luck that you may as well not bother.

As it stands, Boulder City is directly on the side of those hills in the center of the map from Goodsprings, and the only way directly through is "Scorpion Gulch" which lives up to its name. sos the route the devs intend to be taken is South along the highway from Goodsprings to Primm, then Mojave Outpost, and just keep following the highway until it eventually brings you to New Vegas. Whatever you do, DO NOT head directly North from Goodsprings if you value your life.
