Alright, just finished Episode 2. Here's my theory on Crane so far:
When Crane found out that the murder victim was a prostitute, he panicked because he was worried that Bigby's investigation would eventually lead to him finding out about his Crane's odd proclivities. So as soon as he left the office, he phoned Dum and Dee and told them to go snooping around Faith's and Woody's places and get rid of anything that might possibly link her back to him. He wanted to cover up his tracks.
In Episode 1, if you go to Lawrence's place first and then wait until the last second to jump out of the closet, you see that Dee goes straight to sorting through the bookcase after he barges into the apartment. But why would Dee be interested in a book? Maybe because the person who employed him told him to go recover a certain book for him--perhaps one linked to Crane's creepy obsessive fetish towards Snow White.
All this being said, I don't think Crane knows much about the murders. I think he's just being set up. But what are your thoughts on this?

This is a good theory, but Beauty says herself she was working for "The Crooked Man" and if you interrogate Dee, he mentions Beauty is his "co-worker" of sorts. Episode 3's title is "A Crooked Mile" and The Crooked Man's origins come from the old nursury rhyme that begins with:
"There was a crooked man and he walked a crooked mile."
My guess is we will confront this "Crooked Man" in episode 3

All I remember Beauty saying was that she owed the Crooked Man money and that the Tweedles were pestering her for it. I guess this means that they were probably working for the Crooked Man, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they can't be working for someone else as well. They're just hired goons so I'd imagine that they wouldn't necessarily be bound to work for just one person.
Anyway, the Tweedles have to be working for Crane to some capacity. When you ask the mirror to show you Tweedledum, you see him in a car that looks exactly like the one that Crane was driving. That, combined with Crane's reaction to the fact that you've captured Dee and his reaction when Dee reveals to Bigby that he was looking for something that Faith stole from his boss, points to the fact that Crane hired them.

I agree with Dome. Crane has a creepy Snow White fetish, sure, but he's no murderer. The killer probably took a picture of Crane while he was in bed with a Snow-glamoured Lily, then killed her when Crane was gone or something. The killer obviously meant to kill Snow, it seems to me, and Lily was just a mix up because of the glamour.

Why is it that when I hear Lilly's name, Lilly from the Walking Dead Game appears in my mind instead of Holly's sister.

Unless the killer kidnapped Crane and took advantage of his 'interests', used a Glamour to take on his appearance and framed him. The real Crane is released and he goes to the mirror to see where Bigby and Snow are, and breaks the mirror out of rage because he is pissed that he is now the prime suspect.

Because I never really hated him. I don't really hate him now, which is odd.

But if this were a frame job, wouldn't there have been evidence that it was Crane once Faith's head was found? I'm no legal expert, but I'd think that ONE decapitated prostitute would be enough to ruin anyone's career. Besides, the placement of the head doesn't sell that to me. In Episode 1 I said it was a message due to the placement of the head. Someone DID want it to be found, yes, but not because they wanted Crane to take the fall. It seems more likely that, while stalking Snow, the killer thought Lily was the REAL Snow and they followed her to the "Open Arms" where they snapped a picture of Crane and Lily "doing business," so to speak. He/She then killed Lily thinking she WAS Snow. Notice how Crane reacts when the black market glamour is brought up while inspecting Lily's body near the Witching Well. He's nervous and glances around because he's afraid that the glamour will be traced back to him and they will find out about what he's been doing with Lily, while she looked like Snow. I don't buy that someone would want to frame Crane. It seems more likely someone is going after Bigby, to me.

I don't think Crane killed anybody, I think he's just very creepily fetish over Snow White. He's probably gone on the run because he knows what he's been doing is wrong and he knows that Bigby suspects him as the killer and doesn't want to go down as a murderer.

Entirely in character for Crane, in my opinion. He's a coward, so instead of staying and trying to clear his name of the murders, once he sees the pictures at the crime scene he decides to get the hell out of dodge.

Reminds me of the Book of Fables: Ichabod's Denial, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
It can be achieved in episode 2. Read it, it's VERY interesting.
