I decided we needed to escape. All of us were able to reach the exit, except for Tom. So I had Tom dash to a place where he could escape from in the next turn. Unfortunately, he was gunned down on his way to the exit. The worst part is, he was critically injured, not killed. He was so close to being saved, but there is no safe place to stabilize him from. RIP TOM HAGEN Fortunately, the last of us were able to make it back to the skyranger without incident. SURVIVORS: Deadwaste, PikaBlue, Recruit. I bet the Alien's saved Tom and captured him, then used their new POW for... "Experiments." Maybe they Aliens have their own version of Dr. Vahlen, an alien scientist who studies humans, interrogates them and then afterward... "examines" them. Perhaps the fate that awaits the Aliens captured by XCOM is the same one Tom met, only in the hands of the enemy. After all, the Aliens need to know their enemy as much as XCOM does... Poor, poor Tom. RIP in pieces you unlucky bastard.

We know, but it was the needs of the many over the needs of the few, I won't judge.

I know you didn't. Tell his family it was quick. Leave out the experimentation and capture parts. Actually, mark him MIA. Leave them with some hope. They'll need it if they want to get through the rest of the war. But the best thing you can do is to never forget. RIP MIA Tom.

We know, but it was the needs of the many over the needs of the few, I won't judge. The hilarious thing about this quote is that after speaking it, Spock comes back to life in the next movie. Too bad Tom isn't a Vulcan.

Damn. Another loss. A good soldier went down this time, too. Dark Fox, TinyCarlos, TKA, Harp, IWMT, and Rock went on a mission together. Carlos and TKA were pretty far removed from the action. With TKA popping in and out to heal the wounded, and Carlos sniping, they were never really in the line of fire for more than a turn. Dark Fox, Rock, and IWMT were right in the center of the action. They were getting the most kills, and keeping Carlos and TKA safe was their main job. Harp was far removed from the rest of the squad. A floater had moved himself into a corner. Unfortunately, this corner could fuck all of the front line troops if the floater decided to exit the corner. So Harp was designated keeper of the corner. Eventually, the vast majority of enemies on the map were dead. IWMT was poisoned, but holding on, Dark Fox had been poisoned and cured multiple times throughout the fight, and Rock had been shot at many many times. As we killed the last couple troops, one of them disappeared out of our line of sight. I used the opportunity to reload, as nobody had any bullets. Unfortunately, this thin man came up, and flanked both Dark Fox and IWMT. He unloaded on the first soldier he saw. RIP DARK FOX MY LOVE All others survived.

Eh, funny you should say that.... You recently died in my game. I believe it was yesterday. There's only five people remaining from the beginning: Carlos, SOS, Harp, Lee, and Brotato

Two more go down. Bio, Harp, Jayko, IWMT, Carlos, and Heisenberg went on the Portent council mission. Unfortunately, there are no good stories here. They just got shot. RIP BIO RIP JAYKO (it was his first mission as a named soldier He was the recruit who witnessed Brotato's death) The squad's getting smaller. We aren't yet on the brink of annihilation, but we're certainly being pressed.
