I got it for Xbox today, haven't played it yet, but I know it's amazing. Call me a loser, but I think I'll start on easy difficulty. Any tips from veterans, like Bio and Harpa or anyone else?

Umm, yeah, 1, fuck Sectopods, 2, really fuck those Sectopods, 3, mother fucking Sectopods, if you can't already tell, those things will give you nightmares, they are easily the most evil enemy from 2012, they make everything look easy.

Always go in large groups, I died so many times by letting one of my units go alone in dark areas! And increase your technology a lot! Then you will be able to build super high tech suits and drones and droids that are very powerful . I haven't played in a long while so I don't really remember many other tips

Tips? You want tips? Here's some tips. Never name soldiers after anyone you know or love. They will all die a horrible death. Tip 2: Tip one will come about because of SECTOPODS.
RIP:
Shawn Nate Danny Devon Hunter Zach
And those were just the ones I cared about. NEVER FORGET.

I named my soldiers after TWD characters and tried to make them looks as similiar as possible. Lee died first. Few missions later, I got flanked and Pete and Bromid died. Had to load the save and start mission again, because it was important and I failed, so only Lee is dead so far. Doug and Chuck are strongest.
EDIT: Too late, Rock. At least I didn't name them after my friends.

Always always always give your snipers the gunslinger perk along with the squadsight perk. Later, the final pistol does just as much damage as the final sniper with this perk, so your sniper can do crazy long distance shots while staying still, but if need be, they can walk (not dash), then fire their pistol, and do a shitload of damage.
Also, at least go normal, bro. You lose a lot of troops (at least I did), but your super soldiers don't die so much.

Also, Chuck Norris was the first to die in my normal game. I stopped naming them after that.

Also, Doug got a nickname "Psycho".

I remember I got my sniper on the first mission after the tutorial, him and my assault, and they lasted the whole game. My sniper never got mind powers, but my assault was not allowed to die in the final mission.

I had a whole team of guys I named after my friends (and myself). The names in my earlier post, Nate, Danny, Shawn... yeah. All of them, including myself, were the best soldiers in my game, and lasted from the first mission after the tutorial until the very end. In the final level, though, they started dropping like flies. Every. Single. One. Died. Including me. The sole survivor was some heavy who had just joined the "A-Team" as I called it, after it lost its first member in the mission right before that. It was depressing.

Man, I thought about naming the characters after my friends, but then i remembered organ trail, where I was forced to put each of them down, because they all wre getting bitten. I was the only survivor.

In my game, the first time I tried the final mission, I misunderstood some armor, and my sniper walked through some poison that I thought he would be protected from, but he wasn't, and he was a million miles away from anyone else, due to being the squadsight sniper, so he died. Then I failed the mission. Coincidence? I restarted the mission, and then I changed his armor, and he survived, and I won!

I had to move one of my friends in front of a sectopod so it would target him instead of the VIP in the final mission. He got severely wounded, and we had just used the last of the medkits so he bled out.
RIP Danny...

From the beginning of the game, I had a super squad of 4 people, which, once they died, they were replaced with disposable douchebags. First, Rodrigo Rodriguez fell, then he was replaced with much dumber people who died a lot. Then Eva De Jong died, and was replaced with like 5 medics. But my assault and sniper survived the whole game.
Though I did eventually get a heavy who didn't die in their first mission, and he survived the final mission.

Manm I love this game, spent most of yesterday playing it. Started on easy for the first 2 or 3 hours, but I listened to Harp and changed it to normal. It's sad to watch Omid, Lee and everyone else die again. Nick died because he had like 70% chances to hit enemy nearby and missed. Right after, this enemy killed him. He really can't shoot for shit.
Someone needs to make a game with forum users and write reports on situation here.
