"I suppose that's fair. If nothing else, we can agree that these two aren't as obviously dangerous as Deborah is." Rajendra said. "But that doesn't mean I'm willing to trust them yet. Was there anything else they did? Anything they said that was strange? Anything of note that stood out to you?"
Lady Jade reached forwards, leaning further into Kei and placing the walkie-talkie into the palm of his hand.
"Easy Raj, don't overwhelm the man." She spoke.
"Rajendra." Rajendra corrected her.

"...That little girl insisted that she wants to save the world with the elements, she and my oldest son din't get along but that's not surprising. Her guardian on the other hand...something about him seems familiar somehow." Lazarus said.
"Familiar? How?" Ambrosius asked, sounding curious.
"I don't know, for some reason, he was very angry when my daughter died and he nearly attempted to kill Damballa, he severed his arm with his sword, I don't know why, he only met us yesterday." Lazarus commented.

"Perhaps he had a crush?" Lady Jade suggested.
"What else can you tell us about this guardian?" Rajendra asked.
There was a knock at Jade and Kei's door. "Excuse me." She whispered to Kei, standing up and walking over towards one of the walls. She opened it up to reveal a wardrobe, which she pulled her high heels out of.

"And the girl?" Rajendra asked, as Kei dropped the walkie-talkie onto the bed, watching as Jade pulled a ribbon out from the wardrobe and wrapped it around her dress to hold it in place, before sitting herself down to put her leggings on.
Whoever was at the door knocked again.
"In a minute!" Jade called out, putting one of her high heels on and reaching for the other.

"The girl just used the powers of the elements she was able to obtain. She did try to heal Aera's wounds even though the attempt din't work." Lazarus sighed.

"Hmm, I'll still have to be on my guard with her, but it sounds like she's at least worth giving a chance." Rajendra commented.
"The only way you'd trust her is if she leaves all of your elements alone, however." King Legume pointed out, as Jade stood up again, adjusted her balance as she got used to wearing high heels again and walked towards the door, almost tripping over a statue of a cat and having to squeeze between two statues of soldiers to get to it.

"I know this is a bad time to bring this up, Lazarus, but once you and your family are at ease, perhaps you could send the message to King Holymoon and see if he will agree to the alliance?" Ambrosius asked.
"I'll see what I can do." Lazarus commented.
They heard the sound of broken glass falling all over the floor and Manfred's voice was heard.
"My lady, taking out your anger on these bottles will not bring your daughter back, think about the baby you are carrying right now." Manfred said.
"...I apologize, I need to talk to Skuld, losing one of our children is a nightmare that turned real and she is not ready for the funeral." Lazarus sighed.

"Before we end the conversation, I believe it might be worth mentioning the activity of those two maidens who have yet to become a real problem to us." Ambrosius brought up.

"Oh, have you heard anything about the two of them?" King Legume asked.
"Last I heard, the one with the book was headed towards the Song Kingdom." Rajendra offered, it wasn't new information for them, however.
Lady Jade placed one hand on the doors handle and the other on the wall next to the door, putting pressure on a tiny little part of the handle as she twisted it.

"Well, ever since their commune was raided by the Balanque's, those two are currently hunting elements right now. I suspect Hannah might be trying to pick up the elements the little girl and her guardian missed on, Mariam managed to obtain the elements from Vitala's daughters from wherever Kouki hid them, I don't know where she is going next but hopefully neither of those two will stumble upon Pandora's Box, it contains the most dangerous elements after all. The Songs, the Rain's, Kouki and a few others are interested in that box's contents as well." Ambrosius said.

"The best thing to do with a box full of evil like that is pray that it remains lost for eternity." Rajendra said. "Some secrets simply aren't worth uncovering."
Jade looked over at Kei and the walkie-talkie in his hands. The person at the door knocked again but she didn't open it yet.
