Owen used his telekinesis to slowly float Verrader's sword into a corner somewhere.
The Shadow cube flattened itself out into a standard shadow, seeming to take the revived corpses it had trapped inside it with it.
Meanwhile, Micah had snapped his head to look at Fayan and Syrus, walking over to the latter.
"I still don't trust this." Micah muttered.

Syrus was motionless, and Fayan was still in pain and crying on the floor helplessly
Leider tossed his own sword away.
"You lied to me, trapped me in my home so you could be king, all because you were afraid.
I didnt understand at the time, but when i saw the gate, i finally got it. I promise, you will not go there." Leider said
Verrader immediately hugged Leider, beyond grateful the man he once called his brother has forgiven him
"Im sorry! im sorry for everything ive done...im so sorry!" Verrader cried, everything he had done up to this point, was out of fear, he was scared, and afraid.

"...Seriously? After everything he's done to every person in this city and to us, you are seriously gonna let him live? How do we know he isn't faking this?" Hermes asked.
"Tyrant king or not, most of his actions were out of fear of the God of Endings. Fear itself is a much greater poison than every venom in existence. However, even if we won't take his life, he should be put in a cell so he can reflect on his own actions." Kalfu commented.
"...Is Syrus alive?" Calypso asked.

Micah almost scoffed, getting closer to the motionless Syrus. "Someone like him? I bet he's not really sorry, he's only apologizing because you had a sword to his neck just moments ago."
Sophia still had her gun trained, but it was a very precarious angle she was aiming from considering where everyone else was. She looked bored, almost.

Leider sighed
"Back in the old days, we put it to a vote who became king or queen, and perhaps that may be best now." Leider said
"Wait wait but you just said you wouldnt let me go there!" Verrader said terror in his voice as Leider moved away from him
"Wait no! no no no no leider please! brother!" verrader called out as Leide rstood by Aly
"You were my brother once, but i believe in asking the people, and if they dissagree then we will put this to a vote.
They will decide your fate." Leider said
Sophia now had a clear shot at Verrader
"Please no! please! im begging you!" verrader said as he got on his knees "Lock me up! torture me make me a slave i dont care just please dont kill me!" He cried
"Im sorry brother, it aint my choice, its theirs." Leider said, then he looked at Aly "And yours" Leider said
"Mine?" Aly asked
"You are younger then i am, even if i became king i wouldnt be Umbrials ruler for long, besides i never said i wanted to take the throne, i said i wanted to stop Verrader, and i have. So what happens next, is for all of you to decide." Leider said.

Sophia lowered her gun.
"For-.. I'm not saying kill the man." Micah frowned. "I'm just saying he's a snivelling coward." His frown turned into a cringe when he looked down at Verrader. "It's.. pretty pathetic actually, I'd just feel like some kind of cheap bastard killing him when he's pulling this shit."
"M-Micah?" Sophia called out, turning towards him.
"What?" Micah asked. "It's... just weird."
Sophia let out a loud sigh. "..Fine, it's fine. I understand." She said, before pointing the rifle- the scope aligned perfectly with the back of Verrader's head. For once, she stood stock still. "I'll just have to disagree with you here."
Owen closed his eyes. "..I still do not feel informed enough to make a decision. But I would recommend perhaps holding a official trial as your first act of king, instead of putting it to a vote among a small group of people."
Kita watched as the glow in her sword faded away, not having come to her decision yet.

“I say kill him. This bastard forced us into his dumbass war and was planning on invading other planets like his guards did on Black Ice, that dragon and the Omnipotent were close to actually killing us. Hell, those guys from Aron said that not everyone ends up in Messorem’s world, we don’t even know who actually ends up there, kill him and let’s get out of here.” Hermes said.
“...I...agree....while he had his reasons, using Messorem as an excuse to overwork people and invade other worlds is not justifiable. And what if he escapes and tries to do this all over again. we can’t afford that.” Calypso stated her vote.
“No one, no matter how horrible they may be, they do not deserve to be sent to that wretched world. The former king should atone for his sins in a prison cell, not damn him to a endless nightmare he won’t wake up from.” Kalfu said.
Salazar was staring at Verrader, deciding in his head before turning his head to Slyfer, Kita and the rest who din’t cast their votes.
“And the rest of you?” Salazar asked.

Salazar looked back at Verrader.
"...I was the Scourge for the people that I fought against, much like Verrader. I deserved death at that point but everyone else somehow found in their hearts to let us live despite everything we've done. Maybe he too should deserve a second chance. I'm not sure if he will appear in Soulless World if we kill him but we shouldn't send one more soul to the God's pile, but he shouldn't be let off the hook and let him think about what he has done in a prison or something. That is my decision." Salazar said.

Sophia lowered her gun and her eyes, running her scraping along the ground as she swung her leg back and forth like a pendulum.

"Then its settled then, Verrader will live, but he will be locked away" Leider said.
Verrader looked relieved, just thankful they have decided to let him live.
Leider then looked at Fayan who was still crying, curled up on the ground. Leider walked up to him to check on him. His crying was uncontrollerable, his mind seemed broken by everything that happened so quickly.
