Oh man, when did you get into French Cinema? I'll definitely add these to my list, thanks man! I took a bunch of film classes in college. History of Film I and II, The Action Movie, World Cinema and French Cinema. Obviously the last one was all French, but the others had a few scattered in too. Pretty good taste of everything. I wouldn't have thought I'd like French cinema prior to those classes. Honestly I really like a lot of French media. They're a lot more ready to get weird with it, to the point that even random pop artists get some really cool looking music videos.

Saw the new Halloween, it's very, very okay. Wasn't all that scary and the effects weren't great but it was still fairly entertaining, the ending is anti climactic as fuck though.

Speaking of Halloween the entire retrospective video I did on the series came out fairly recently. Had a lot of fun with it.

Just saw Halloween, really great. Soundtrack was phenomenal and I think this was the best Michael design out of all the movies. Favorite moment was when Michael pushes Laurie off the balcony, then turns back to look at her, and she's disappeared. Great callback to the 1978 film. The only problems I had with the movie were the high school scenes. The first half was full of them and they had literally no payoff whatsoever. I was looking forward to Cameron getting brutally murdered, but I guess they're saving that for the sequel.

Came back from an early screening of Fantastic Beasts 2. What a mediocre movie. Speaking as someone who loved the first, the second sets up so many plot points and barely any of them are resolved, making the movie sequelbait for the next one. The best thing about this movie was Jacob and Newt's interactions. There wasn't that many creatures on screen, and most of the movie was just background on Credence, which makes an absurd claim that breaks canon.

I kept hearing rumors about it and all I kept finding were fakes. But, finally, there is a real trailer to the first Disney movie I ever saw as a kid, now in live action CGI.
The original animated Lion King will always have a special place in my heart, but I look forward to seeing this live action movie.
