Well, I went to go see that movie "Christopher Robin". It was a pretty sweet movie, and felt very nostalgic. Pooh and the gang definitely look old. As a kid, I grew up watching Winnie the Pooh on Disney, and some of the movies. I especially liked "The Tigger Movie" back then. Ah, where does the time go?
The movie does give a clear message that no matter how old you get, you'll always be a kid at heart. I know this because even though I recently turned 25, I still feel like a kid at heart.

Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck are "rumored" to leave as Superman and Batman, respectively. Hope this isn't finalized, those two are perfectly casted.
If it is true, I might just be done with live-action superhero movies.

Henry Cavill is a totally wooden actor and horrible as Superman and I'm very happy to see him leave the role.
It'd be a shame if Ben Affleck stopped being Batman, I think he's p good, but he's not like, irreplaceable. Also last I heard I thought he was staying on for the foreseeable future?

I don't know about Affeck, he's going through rehab and having family problems. His role in the DCEU is all up in the air right now. Funny how when he was announced as Batman, people thought it was a really stupid casting decision. Now, many know him as probably one of the couple actors that could break the DCEU if he leaves.

I don't know why I haven't made a post about this yet, but on my quest to study abroad in France, I'm taking a French Cinema class, and I've really been enjoying the movies I've been watching. I'm getting super into French shit. I know some people like crack actually speak French, so if there's some good French movies or something let me know.
L'Auberge Espagnol (The Spanish Apartment) was pretty good. A more basic movie, with a significant portion in English. A French college kid is offered a sweet job if he spends a year studying abroad in Spain, but he finds himself along the way and yada yada yada. I think you guys might enjoy it, but the main character gets really sexist and a little rapey at points. The most it's addressed is his lesbian friend saying "don't talk like that" as if that's all he deserves for the shit he does.
Monsieur Lazhar (Mister Lazhar) is probably my favorite so far. It's about an Algerian refugee who takes over teaching a class after their teacher kills herself. Super good movie. Might be harder to get ahold of this one though. Totally worth watching with subtitles if you can get your hands on it though.
Persepolis (I have no idea what this one means) is an animated movie about a true story of a girl who lived through a bunch of Iranian revolutions, and how she learned to be a fully grown woman. Pretty good, but not as good as Monsieur Lazhar. Also fully available in English.

so if there's some good French movies or something let me know. Breathless is a classic, wrote a paper on it back in the day. The 400 Blows, of course. I'd put that one at the top of your queue. I think you'd really enjoy it, probably relate to it on some level. And my personal favorite, La Haine. Phenomenal Vincent Cassel movie. Amour is pretty solid too. Also saw Chloe from 5 to 7 back in the day, but holy shit did I think it was putrid.

My last french class was like 6 years ago, but I might still have enough skills for a basic conversation. As for movies, the 1998 Taxi movie is quite fun if you want to watch something less serious.

History of Film I and II, The Action Movie, World Cinema and French Cinema. Obviously the last one was all French, but the others had a few scattered in too. Pretty good taste of everything. I wouldn't have thought I'd like French cinema prior to those classes.
