It's finally here. Well, almost here at least. I thought I'd make this thread now instead of later to give everyone who has forgotten the details of the rest of the series a chance to go through and freshen up on everything that's happened up until this point. So before Journey's End, the final story in my little series, comes out feel free to brush up on what's happened in FUBAR, Inferno, and Down by the River. As of right now a good half of this story is written, and with any luck the first chapter should be up sometime late next week. I'll post the links to the story in this thread (A real shock, I know). Until then, stay classy Forumites.

Chapter 1, The Killing FieldsHere it is, my final story. Centering around Tanner and the aftermath of his search for Conner, this takes place in North Carolina during the events of "No Going Back." I'll update this a couple of times a week if all goes according to plan, and it should be a total of 10-11 chapters with a possible Epilogue. Enjoy the story, and as always feedback is appreciated.

Interesting. I like how what was simply a set piece in All That Remains has a lot more depth to it now. Also interested to see where this goes.

Conner's dead at this moment in time, right? Cause... He got killed by Carver at the river, right?

Conner's dead at this moment in time, right? Cause... He got killed by Carver at the river, right? Yeah, this story takes place more or less a week after "Down by the River" which itself took place during the events of "All That Remains." Conner was originally one of the minor characters who got killed by Carver's men (Led by Johnny during that battle) at the river that Nick, Pete, and Clem would arrive at in the final chapter of "All That Remains."

Chapter 2, A New GroupTanner stumbles upon a small group of people who have some interesting things to say about an encounter they had in the woods a week ago. Who could these new people be? Psychopaths? Drug dealers? Or even, god forbid, Jaywalkers? Or maybe they're just simple survivors. Who knows? Well, I know, but you guys don't so keep reading to find out.

From the descriptions I kept thinking they were Bonnie, Mike and Arvo, what with the tall dark skinned guy, the shorter blue-eyed guy and the red-haired woman. Was that intentional?

Not in the slightest, actually. I didn't even realize the resemblance until you pointed it out. But remember, at this point Bonnie, Mike, and Arvo are sitting around the campfire with Luke, Clem, Kenny, and Jane so these three are different people entirely.

I thought it was a clever author troll. I do that sometimes, making people believe that it's one character when it turns out to be someone different.
