I knew Nick would have an offscreen death. Fucking called it. You sadly did, we all hoped it wouldn't, but it was.

Nick, I really didn't care about. His death was definitely badly handled, but with the way tumblr goes on about him I was glad to see him go.
But Sarah? I am honestly incredibly disappointed with that and in Telltale in general. It's not good writing, it's a bullshit red herring and honestly kind of really gross to kill off the teenage Hispanic girl in order to further the white woman's development and prove her philosophy right.
There are some people you can't save, but using Sarah to exemplify this ignores her possible development in the early episodes. Her ability to take the fact that her father is in danger; she's not nearly as hysterical about it as Carlos thinks she will be. Her frustration that no one tells her anything. Her desire to learn how to defend herself because she's much more aware about the world than her father thinks she is. Ben had a similar role to Sarah, and dies in a similar manner, but the workings of his psyche are at least explored and you can see him struggle with his inability to adjust to the apocalypse.
With Sarah? This is bad writing, and I honestly thought they were better than that.

I genuinely felt hopeless when I found out they both die just like that. MY FAVORITE S2 GUY AND GIRL. BOTH DIE. ONE OFFSCREEN. THE OTHER PATHETICALLY. I WAS SO MAD. UGH.

I blame Jane, even though I should be blaming TTG.
I didn't even get the option to be mad at her.

I'm pissed at Telltale. Those deaths were just lazy. They were probably the two characters who we've had the most choices on but, in the end, NONE OF IT MATTERED. We don't get anything from teaching Sarah how to shoot. We don't get anything from giving Nick the watch. We don't get anything! Not even extra dialogue!

True, also its not just me that hates Nick's death for not just being not sad, bullshit, and off screen, but for totally being nonsensical? He got shot in the shoulder, fine, but Luke told him to go look for shit, and he somehow died on a fence? How did that happen? Did just bleed to death? There were no bites, and there were a ton of walkers, they should be eating him, and why on a fucking fence? Fuck it, every time someone would mention Nick, I would get pissed, hell Luke's reaction was a nicer version of my reaction. honestly, here's what I think happened. -Nick went back to try to find everyone -At some point he got bit, and then turned -as a walker, he got stuck on the fence. stupid, but presumably canon.

To be honest i'd prefered if Sarah & Nick just die in the herd. For Nick, maybe.

It still makes no sense, I mean why show him get wounded in the horde? It didn't matter in the slightest, god.

I kind of imagine he was trying to get through the fence but had lost too much blood due to the gunshot wound and wound up passing out and eventually dying on the fence.

I think the writers for Episode 4 just hated Nick. I can't see any other explanation for how he was handled, especially since other determinant characters, even Pete and Alvin in Season 2, got better send offs than he did.
