As much as I really hate Nick's death, I'm glad that they at least put a bit of effort into it. They put in a tiny detail that I enjoyed, but it doesn't make the death any better, his death just feels like there's something missing. You call some blood spraying on his mouth a bit of effort? ok but textures take effort you are insulting the texture people

Attention to detail is important, I guess

I feel so much happier killing this zombie now.

So, I hate to bring this up again cause I'm sure most of you are trying to forget about this along with season 2, but I thought of a way of how they could of managed to make Nick and Sarah's determinant fates actually work:
With Nick- if you save him by telling Walter that he is a good guy, he appears in episode 3 and his role is basically the same but in episode 4, instead of finding him as a walker, on the fence, he is actually in the trailer with Luke, trying to get Sarah out of there. If you save Sarah and at the Sarah and Jane choice, Nick will whoop in and save Sarah but gets killed by the walkers. But, if you don't save Sarah, Nick will live and will maybe either die in the shootout or after Luke dies, he will go with Mike, Bonnie and Arvo.
With Sarah-if you save her in the trailer and if Nick gets killed by Walter, Sarah will die the same at the Sarah or Jane choice. But if you save Nick, he will save Sarah and gets killed but she will live. In the shootout, she will die but her death will be much more emotional here and it would give Kenny a more justifiable motive to be rough on Arvo and a member of the group would actually die in the shootout, not just have only the russians getting killed off. Oh, and have the teach Sarah using a gun have some impact like in episode 4, her shooting two or three walkers while Rebecca is giving birth.

That's kinda complicated

Well, it was just a suggestion on how they could of made their alternate fates work instead of just making them say a couple of lines and then die. Sure, it would probably be complicated but anything would be better than what Nick and Sarah received.

Their fates have already been sealed, I'm afraid.

Season 2 wasted a lot of potential and killed characters for the sake of killing characters. They thought we'd feel emotion but we didn't, because the others characters didn't give a damn so we didn't give a damn.
That's my experience, anyway.

Well shit, I did have a big post here giving my thoughts about the whole situation, but then my internet went out. Oh well. Basically, I was blaming all the bad choices on the rotating writers system TTG had for TWD S2 and TWAU, and said that they should make Nick Breckon the lead writer for Season 3, considering how in the episodes he wrote, there were meaningful choices, its just that without any direction, the other writers destroyed that in the following episodes.
