Interestingly enough, this issue will be in Black & White. I wonder why that is. And by extenion of that(kind of), I really hope that Elizabeth Breitweiser wins the Eisner Award this year for Best Colorist for Outcast.

So Under Devil's Wing is out and I'm 2 for 3 as far as theories for this series. In Issue 18 I had a theory that Kyle's "light" was cast out from the place that the demons come from, and then possessed people on Earth, hence why Kyle is an Outcast. However, what didn't make sense to me was how it was being passed down... presumably Kyle got it from his father.
Anyway, it was confirmed this issue. Kyle's "light" is from the same place as the demons. Sidney's kind hated Kyle's, so they drove them out. When they come to Earth, they're pulled to Outcast because it's a piece of their home... They can draw strength from Outcasts for the same reason, but it's also that reason that makes Outcasts dangerous... because their bond to their home that the have from the Outcasts, if it's strengthened to much, then they're drawn back to their home. So, new theory: Some of the people aren't fully possessed, and the "demons" act more like companions when their hosts welcome them. Sidney said that Kyle's mother fought back, so she was fully possessed.... but based on how Sidney was acting, it really does seem like the demon inside him is more like a "companion", and they're working together.... Of course, if Sidney was fully possessed, then nothing he said could be trusted, so I don't know, but yeah, that's my new theory.

@zyphon I FINALLY got around to reading Outcast Volume 3 (Issues 13-18), and I gotta say it's getting really good IMO. First off I love how more people (especially Megan and Anna ) are starting to trust in Kyle more. I'm most surprised though by Mark's development. I started off hating the guy back in Volume 1, but now after the whole thing with Megan throwing him out the window and paralyzing him I'm starting to like him more, especially in the scene when he tells Megan's mom to fuck off when they're replacing her front door.
Anderson's more in line with his TV appearance in these more recent issues too IMO, acting more...reserved I guess? Watching him go to town on Sidney was good, but I'm kinda surprised that no one (Especially Kyle) reacted to the scars on his chest. Does that come up more in later issues?
And then there's finally the ending with Sidney kidnapping Kyle and getting his followers together to take over the world or something like that. So I think it's safe to say at this point that it's pretty much confirmed that Sidney is Satan, or at least one of Satan's highest ranking disciples? Can't wait for volume 4 to come out whenever it does!

So I haven't been saying much about the most recent arc of Outcast and that's just because there's not a whole lot to say. Which is not to insinuate that it's bad, not at all. Just... there's no answers, no new mysteries... none of the usual stuff that fuels all of my theories and what-not. It's mostly a lot of action. Kirkman's said though that this arc is setting up for the next one, which will be the biggest yet. So... hopefully that's true. Right now, this arc has been my least favorite simply because it's mostly action and raising the stakes and all that stuff.

Here's the Cover, which may just be my favorite cover of any of the volumes so far: WOW. Damn every time I see new artwork from Azaceta it makes me want to have him draw TWD more and more. So I guess this'll contain issues 19-24? And what's the most recent one released now?

Guys, more of you should be reading this series, seriously. It's so fucking great, I can't recommend it highly enough. Kirkman just started a new arc for the series titled "Invasion" and it's bringing together all of the series' horror, religious, and fantasy elements together in some really fantastic ways. I think Invasion is definitely a big turning point for the series, and since the first 5 volumes leading up to Invasion have all been out for quite a while now, I imagine they're probably available at your local libraries or something, so at the very least check them out there if you can.
