That's something we haven't seen yet. Run down the list of female characters. Katjaa... Carley... Lily... None of which played a strong on-screen role with Clementine. Not surprising since Lee was in the picture, but then we get to season 2. Clem's two most obvious caretakers: Luke and Kenny. Rebecca.... nope. Jury is out on Sarita and Bonnie.
Do you think Sarita (if she makes it) and Bonnie will step up and become a more central relationship for Clementine? If not, why do you think males have mostly dominated the role of caretaker?

Jane. That is all.
But really XD I don't really think Sarita would do, because I feel like she'd be the kind of person that would shelter Clementine. As for Bonnie, she proved that she's trustworthy and was willing to take a risk of getting everyone out of Carver's place. She was even worried about Clementine and didn't force herself onto her. So, I think she'd be a good fit.

Why is it important that Clem has a female caretaker?
Why does she need a caretaker in general? She can take care of herself, she's proven that, she just needs someone to guide.

To me it looks like Telltale is setting up for Bonnie to be her "caretaker"

Clementine doesn't need shit, I was just wondering why her closest mentors are all male.

Bonnie seems like she knows what is right and wrong, but she doesn't have a very strong personality and wouldn't do that well in arguments. She'd probably back down a lot and is used to being told what to do.
Jane may have authority and survival skills, but she's a wild card and can't be trusted just yet. It's clear she helped everyone break out for her own sake, and took that large amount of people with her as meat shields.
I feel like Christa, while coming across harsh later down the line, possesses both the strong character and presence in a group, plus the knowledge that Clementine needs to learn survival skills. Those two things probably mean she's the best for the job of looking after Clementine.

Besides her renegade-ness, I think Jane might be a little young. Bonnie intrigues me. She's clearly come a long way from taking lip from Becca at the end of 400 Days to greenlighting and indirectly leading the escape from Carver's camp.
I still can't believe I forgot about Christa. Top 5 stupidest brain lapses of my life. She'd be the ideal. Part of me wonders if she's too far good from a trust and relationship standpoint with Clementine though. If Christa is alive and reunited with Clem, a lot will be said by how she first greets her. If it's pure relief, then she's capable of forgiveness. If it's anything less... I don't think she'll ever see Clem as anything more than the girl whose stupidity got the love of her life killed.

This reminds me of when Awhile before S2E1 came out we were wondering which 400 Days character would become Clem's new caretaker, and alot of people said Shel, but I remember some people saying Bonnie too.
