Tangled is better than Frozen. It has good songs throughout, while Frozen has just a few hits, Tangled has consistent songs. It has a good villain, (and damn, does she have a good song) and the plot doesn't seem so focused on pulling the rug from under the audience, (like Frozen was) it makes sense. It's story is good, a nice Disney classic. Good princess, sweet personality, good voice. Flynn is a good love interest too, and then bond that develops between them is cute. They're a good couple. Unlike Anna who makes it unclear who she wants. No character development anywhere with her. Or anyone. Side characters in Tangled are great too, they're mute, but the slapstick and what they do makes them funny. Olaf is a snowman rip-off of Sid from ice age. Yes, I went there. I'm not having a go a Frozen, I liked it, but Tangled is better. Frozen's plot was all over the place, there was no plan. What was Anna gonna do when she found Elsa? Wing it? Plus the whole Hans thing makes completely no sense. He smiles lovingly at Anna when no ones around. Why the fuck would he do that if he's the villian? Oh that's right, the plot wants you to think he's a good guy so it can mind fuck you, meaning it's cheating the narrative. Also so Anna doesn't have to choose. It would have made more sense if the ice loving Kristoff got with Elsa and Anna got with Hans. Still kinda ship it now. AnnaxHans. Just my opinion. Frozen isn't the perfect film everyone thinks. I disagree, I feel all the songs in Frozen were great, but that's just an opinion, and that's subjective, really I do love them both to death, but I will say that the mother in Tangled was a really great villain, something kinda like Cinderella's step mother but done in the modern sort of style, she was great, but I do think people give Hans more shit then he deserves. Is he the best villain ever? Not really, I would put him in my top 11, but really at 11, he is not Gaston, not Frollo, not all of that, but I don't think they were trying to upset there best villains, really now he helps further along the life message of Frozen, which in itself is really, good, and they did a twist, they never did something like this for there villains, and it's nice to see them try something different, also just for the sake of mentioning this, it's not a twist out of nowhere like a director that shall go unnamed, there are hints, not many, but they are there, just listen to Love Is an Open Door and pay close attention, and during the Ice Castle battle, watch him very closely, anyway I personally disagree, but it's not like I am saying Tangled is garbage, quite the opposite in fact, if Tangled had not been as good, I dare say Frozen would not have happened, it was this generations Little Mermaid, which means kickstarter, and Frozen was Beauty and the Beast, that is how I see it anyway, also I am about to post all my top 10 Disney lists, so just ask which one you want first, I suggest music, but that's just me.

I've seen all the stuff from Hans.
"I've been searching my whole life to find my own place" - wants his own kingdom
At the Ice palace, he briefly glances at the ... The thing. The thing hanging from the ceiling.
Big woop. He had brief signs of being a villain, but to the untrained eye (or ear) who would pay attention. And he still smiled at Anna when no one was around. What was that for? Incase someone saw him scowl and got suspicious? No, that's fucking dumb. It's still a cheat in the narrative.

Okay so I might as well point out as many as my top 10s as possible starting with just favorite songs, now let me make this clear, all 10 songs are awesome and I can easily listen to them for hours, here we go.
10, Bells of Notre Dame, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, it's the starting song and boy does it set the tone well, it's mostly Latin chants mixed with some words, and it is really badass and fits with the scenes its used.
9, I See the Light, Tangled, the soundtrack to Tangled is the only real disappointment for me, and even that is only slight, there are good songs, chief among them is this one, which at times almost sounds like Will the Circle Be Unbroken, which is great, it's got a soft beat, and plays during a frankly beautiful scene, I mean good god, it's one of the most beautiful animated scenes ever, I mean that.
8 Hellfire, Hunchback of Notre Dame, now Disney has a thing for good villain songs, just look at Be Prepared or Friends on the Other Side for proof, but this one beats all, it's easily the darkest song ever made by Disney, and it is awesome. Not only is the beat intimidating as hell, but the images match perfectly, from demonic shadows to figures burning in fire, it perfectly shows what is going on through the frankly fucked up mind of the villain, in short, incredibly badass.
7, For the First Time in Forever, Frozen, now this song I feel is a bit underrated, I really like the cheery nature of it all, the visuals work very well, and it capture the feelings of the characters very well, and it kinda switches tone about roughly half way through, which is also good, bonus points for a Tangled Easter Egg, plus the very name and nature of the song appeals to me very well because, it was the first time in forever that I saw a movie like this, very well done.
6, The Egg Travels, Dinosaur, most people haven't seen this movie, and well it's not Disney's best let's just put it this way, but people are missing out on a fantastic orchestral song, it plays within the first 10 minutes or so, and it is just awesome, it's kinda hard to sum up in words, but trust me, it's really, really great, oh and the scene is really great to boot.
5, Circle of Life, Lion King, what more do I really need to say? It's one of the greatest openers to really any movie, just play the first two notes and everyone knows what your watching, everyone, I bet you money, that speaks volume.
4 Be Our Guest, Beauty and the Beast, this song is awesome, let me state that right now, it's incredibly catchy, features most of the cast, and the animation that follows most of the song is rather creative. The colors are very vibrant through out the whole sequence, and it really shows off the supporting cast very well, great song.
3 Let It Go, Frozen, yeah yeah you knew this was coming, I am most certain that most people are sick of this song, but I am not, no sir, not me, I guarantee it. What can I really say? Idina Menzel is absolutely fantastic, the animation is just spectacular, I mean some frames took 30 hours to make, the lyrics are perfect for that scene, it's 100% guaranteed to get stuck in your head for a while, it's Let It Go, the one thing that people can't see to let go, and that's fine by me.
2, Belle, Beauty and the Beast, now this is a soundtrack and a half, and within the first five minutes, you get why, the animation is top notch as to be expected, it introduces the lead and villain very well, and just has a really great beat to it, I mean it, its catchy. Oh, and then there is Paige O'Hara, who I swear is one of, if not the, best singer ever picked for a Disney role, I mean there is one part in the song when Belle is reading a book, that never fails to put a smile on my face, it introduces you to pretty much everything in the film, and is the first sign you got something special on your hands.
1, Beauty and the Beast, Beauty and the Beast, wow... I mean just wow... this song... this fucking song. I don't know what to really say, it's only 2 minutes long, yet it's just hauntingly beautiful, and it's paired with one of the greatest animated sequences ever put to film, and I am dead serious. Before this movie, I had never heard Angela Lansbury sing, now I wish she sang more often. This song one the academy award that year, which isn't really saying much since a lot of songs on this list did, but this was going up against the other two songs from the film, and it somehow didn't result in a tie, that says something, it really does. Also, and I am not embarrassed to admit this, it kinda made me cry, not because it was sad, but because it was so beautiful, so perfect, so peaceful, so bliss. Only one other moment can I think of ever reduced me to tears because of just sheer beauty, and that was the opening to Burial at Sea part 2, that's it. I could talk for a long time on why this song is great, but I won't bore you with the details, let's just leave it with, this songs is utterly fantastic and is my absolute favorite Disney song. Well that's my list, agree? Disagree, either option is fine by me, see you on my next top 10 list, or rather 11 list for one particular count down, just ask me which one.

Sad shit? You mean, like, depressing stuff that has happened in these movies? Well, I suppose I could, that is actually one of the harder lists, because good god, boy is there some depressing stuff here. It actually would be easier if I did my top 11 list, which is to say, the only list that goes to 11.

Well I guess that list is rather easy because everyone knows what that top 3 is, and at this point it's not even subjective, it's always Mufasa, Old Yeller, and Bambi's mom, it's not really that subjective, ironic I know, again, I suggest the top 11 list I have, which is my personal favorite villains, which is to say, a lot.

Old Yeller is greatest dog ever, he is better then Lassie, anyway, it's a easy list let's just put it that way.

From the second Kristoff accompanied Anna to the North Mountain, I knew Hans was a villain. Disney doesn't wanna break nice guys hearts and upset fans of a character so they have to not make them fans anymore by villainizing them. It's the only out they have.
I sit right in the middle on the twist at the end. Part of me thinks it's a nice change of pace and it definitely took me by surprise, the other half of me thinks it's Disney being such try-hards.
I like Tangled more mainly because I find it funnier and I like the characters slightly more. I'd rank 'em:
1. Rapunzel, my GIRL 2. Flynn, one of the best soon-to-be-Princes in Disney history IMO 3. Anna, interchangeable with Flynn 4. Horse, can't remember his name 5. Elsa, she'd be higher, but god damn does her fear make her a bitch for most of the movie 6. Olaf, kinda overrated sorta 7. Pascal, so tempted to put him above Olaf, but I can't do it 8. Kristoff, he's alright 9. Hans, pretty boy asshole 10. Rapunzel's fake witch mom, FUCK HER

And the horse's name was Maxamus, you don't forget a badass name like that.
