Saddest deaths? I'd say Mordin's, since it's unavoidable, followed VERY closely by Grunt's ME3 "death", even if he doesn't actually die.
I never got Mordin to sing, and I much prefer his little monologue to himself about beginning again with new hope for not just the Krogan, but for everyone. Grunt's "death" hit me the hardest of the game, actually. More than any other character. He fought like hell and took about a dozen Husks with him, and I was tearing up when he went over the little cliff. Then more manly tears when he came out of the cave, acting like everything was fine and asking where the food was. Goddamnit Grunt, you had me going for a second.

He had me for a second to, I was like, "NO! Not Grunt! I like him, goddamn it!" Then I was like, "Holy fuck! Grunt is alive! YES!"

Garrus is my fav, but Grunt, Jack, Liara, and Miranda are close seconds.

Saddest deaths? I'd say Mordin's, since it's unavoidable [...] Mordin doesn't have to die. He can survive ME3. If Wrex is dead and Eve died because the genophage cure data wasn't saved in ME2, you can convince Mordin it's not worth it to cure the genpohage. Speaking of which, does anyone else feel like curing the genophage isn't a great idea? No offense, but Krogan are terrible. Wrex and Eve seem to be exceptions to the rule - outliers. Krogan are dangerous and seem to be impulsive, and violent, and they breed like rabbits. I was never convinced it should be done, honestly, even if the arc to cure the genophage is very well written and enjoyable. You're right, I forgot about that. I just always have Wrex alive, so for me it IS impossible. I could never stand Wreav. If Wrex and Eve are both alive, then I think it really is for the best. If Eve dies, bu Wrex is still alive, then I'd have enough faith in Wrex to whip the Krogan in to shape. However, if Wreav is at all alive, then I really can't see anything but bad times ahead if the genophage is cured. Even with Eve around I don't trust him.

So... Just finished ME 3 and I dare to say that I loved the ending, it's the first time I almost cry with an ending, it probably was because I played the whole trilogy. Anyways my favorite characters are Shepard (obviously) Garrus, Tali and Grunt. The only characters I didn't like were Jacob and Ashley.

I was never very fond of Jacob or Ashley myself. I usually end up saving Kaidan in ME1. Garrus is epic in the second and third games. I feel that he's a Turian version of me.
As for the ending... eh, opinions. It's cool that you didn't hate it, because that feeling is awful.

I hated that some character were sidelined after being big characters in the previous game...
Ashley-Kaidan with ME2 Liara with ME2
Jacob-Miranda with ME3
And others I forget..

I thought the same kind of, I played it once all the DLC had come out, and I guess it was a mixture of hearing it was the worst thing ever, and having Extended Cut, that made me not hate it, granted its still not the greatest ending ever, but I thought it was okay, perhaps even good.

Now I have a question, what is your favorite Mass Effect song? As in, in the whole franchise? Mine is the Ilos theme.
