Maybe not so many transitions. Makes it sound like a bunch of short stories rather than one cohesive story.

That's simply because it's starting. Setting up bigger connections for later. Setting up characters.

Any other suggestions?

I added a little test song that I thought was the best fit for the first chapter.

Yeah, I recompensed this time with me being one of the first to die. Also, you weren't the very first. Somebody else died before you. I think it was Rock. You tripped over his corpse.

What do you think of everything else, though?

This is going to be the final theme now, just for you, mind twin.

I walked slowly through the forest. Shuddering at every noise. I held my led pipe very close to me.

Suddenly, I heard a loud noise behind me.

"Oh shit! Bio, it's you!" Gengar's voice cheered. He held a pistol, and was accompanied by Cany holding a revolver, along with an injured Rock. "I almost shot you. Thought you were the guy who beat Rock with the baseball bat, or whatever it was."

I froze. No words came out.

"Don't worry, friend. We're looking for a way out. All we need to do is figure out a way to get these things off of us, then we can get the fuck out of here."

"Gengar, we gotta move. We keeping Bio, or cutting him loose?"

Gengar looked Bio over. "Where'd you get that cut on your arm?"

"A psycho with a pair of scissors cut at me. Got me good."

"Well come along. You'll be safe with us. Rock, how much further?"

Rock pulled out his map and inspected it shakily. "Should be just around the bend." He seemed drained of energy. Then we walked. I looked them over. Cany wasn't very steady with his gun, Rock was injured, but if anything was going to carry this group, it'd be Gengar. He looked like he knew what he was doing with that gun. When we got to the place he was talking about, I was a bit taken aback. It was a shitty wooden shack.

"You're kidding, right?"

"Nope. It's got supplies and everything we need," Cany smiled, "Let's go on in."

Rock walked in, then Cany, then Gengar. This was my opportunity. He struck Gengar over the head, and knocked him down. He didn't take the time to finish him, as Cany had already turned around. Two shots fired before I saw his brains. After I grabbed his revolver, Rock sprinted for Gengar's gun. I kicked him over as he reached, but unfortunately, he grabbed the gun. I tried to crush his skull, but he popped a shot in my shoulder, and I dropped the pipe. Now was as good a time as ever to make my exit. I stepped over him, but only got punched in the dick. I stumbled my way out, and puked in the bushes. Rock was too busy making sure Gengar was ok. I decided I needed to go and fix this wound more than I needed Rock dead. Wouldn't be able to aim for shit without my shoulder anyways.

As it turns out, I was the guy who injured Cany. I stayed hidden behind him, thinking he was alone. I smashed him with my wooden slugger, and then realized there were two armed bodyguards near him. I up and ran, but a bullet clipped me in the arm regardless. Last look I got at Rock, he seemed stirred, but not shaken.

"Where am I?" I heard a voice say as I scrammed into the bushes.

"In heaven. Now go get your fucking wings and kill that demon." Rock pointed in the direction I escaped in.

"That's not how we're doing things."
