Anybody want to share their DayZ experiences? Personally, I haven't played it much so I haven't had anything decently interesting happen to me yet, but how about you guys?

Experience, eh? I got one, but it's a tad long.
My buddy Nate and I were all geared up, and looting a supermarket at Zelenogorsk, near the coast, for some food before we continued on our journey. We had huge backpacks, automatic weapons, compasses, maps, the works. But Nate, being careless as he is, decides to throw a flare into the middle of the supermarket. It is nighttime outside. Pitch black. That flare lights the area up like a neon sign saying "Shoot me!" I snapped at him to put it out before some bandits came by and decided to ventilate us, and he grudgingly did so. The both of us were in the back of the store, ready to head out, when saying "I told you so" was suddenly never more appropriate than it was at that moment.
A guy in bandit skin charged through the doors with a silenced M4 and hosed us both down pretty badly. I pumped some revolver rounds into him, and he sprinted back out. Because of my unsilenced gunshots, the ENTIRE town's zombified population came through the doors and into the supermarket. Nate and I fought our way to the other end of the store, but halfway there our attacker's friends opened up on us with assault rifles of their own, from outside the building. Being a lucky survivor, the zombies decided to stay indoors with ME rather than go outside and attack the bandits. I managed to kill one of the bandits with my AK by firing through a window, but Nate fell unconscious while I did so. That's when about 10 zombies stormed the room.
Now, it's a good thing that I played TWD before this happened, because it gave me experience with tough choices. Nate was bleeding on the ground, immobile, and zombies were seconds away from reaching us. I needed to reload. The bandits were still outside. So, I did what I had to do. I ran between the zombies, barely escaping the room in one piece, while they began eating Nate. Fleeing out the front of the store, I managed to shoot another bandit quite a few times, and he ran around a corner to escape me, but ended up getting a group hug from about 7 zombies who had been waiting there. I ran all the way to the woods south of town, bleeding, pursued, until a zombie knocked me flat just inside the trees. It was the end. I accepted it.
But then it fell down! And the next thing I knew, I'd been bandaged, bloodpacked, and morphined back to full health. My savior told me that he had heard the fighting and come into town just in time to see me make a mad dash south, with two bandits on my tail. He claimed that he killed them both, then followed me to see if I was a threat. The two of us went back into town, and I let him have his pick of loot from all the dead bodies, including Nate's. As I took what I could, I noticed something about him. He had the bandit skin. Being saved by a bandit, well, I'd never heard of that before. Then I saw the weapon he was using. A silenced M4. I said goodbye, then made my way back to the coast as quickly as I could to find Nate after he respawned.

I was running through the countryside and I decided to see how long it would take for a zombie to kill me, just to see how hard the game really IS (despite me seeing all of three zombies in the standalone) so I let one munch on me for a while. And then some more. And some more. And some more... And so... *snaps awake* What? What happened? Oh yeah, then I punched the zombie to death and noticed that I was bleeding out. So I decided to see how long it would take to bleed out. And I bled some more. And some more. You get the idea. Eventually, I was on the ground crawling, but I never died from blood loss. I'm something like two or three hours in, and this zombie attack happened around a half hour after I started. I then switched to a different server, but by the time I connected, the game met me with a "you are dead" screen. Rejoyced, I clicked on respawn. Then I waited for like 5 minutes, but the game never loaded in. So I restarted my computer, and when I came back, I switched servers before starting. This server recognized me as alive, and still with enough blood in me to walk around. However, my vision was colorless, and I was bleeding. The respawn button that said it would kill my character didn't work, no matter how many servers with low as fuck pings I tried, so the only logical movement from there was to hunt the landscape until I found some bandages. I bandaged the wound, and determined that, should other players have anything to say about it, I would never fucking die.
I fucked about in the city for a while, before heading down some road with train tracks and ocean to the right, and mountains to the left. It was at this point that I met my first human player, despite the server I was on at the time being completely full. I said a few words to him, and he stayed within voice range only long enough to let me know that I could've saved all of that bullshit with the bandages by tearing my shirt up. It was at this point that I got pissed, and decided to wait until some MAJOR changes were made in the standalone before playing it again.

I will keep this short, I walked around for hours until I found a city, inside a building was a sniper rifle, a shotgun, a pistol and ammo to spare for all, I wondered how the hell did this get here, and then I got shot by a sniper, wonderful I got baited like a rabbit.

See, it's a win win. You got to live, and he got not only the loot from your friend, but from his friends as well. Insane stroke of luck you got there.

Seems to be a lot of you think I'm just lucky, when I'm obviously a badass. Who else could have survived that but a total badass?
I've only got about one or 2 other experiences as awesome as that one, the rest is just endless travel or hilarious teamwork fuckups/communication failures between me and my friends.

Unfortunately, I can't. I have nothing to record WITH, and even if I did and knew how, my Day Z stopped working. Plus, my friends haven't been able to play for god knows how long either.
