I win! I tried something like this earlier, but it did not go well. It started on the Kestrel with Carlos, my mind twin, and myself. We soon found an empty space station, and the only survivor, named Bio, joined us. Later, we found an empty space station overrun by giant space spiders. Bio lost his life there, trying to save innocent civilians. The crew vowed that they would remember his sacrifice. Then, two jumps later, we got blown up.

So apparently, after watching the credits, the actual Chris Avellone of Obsidian Entertainment helped write some of the events for the Advanced Edition and was credited as a "Special Guest Writer." That may or may not have made me a little hard.
I love this game.

Report from my latest mission.
After few months away from commanding the ship, captain Brotato gathered a team of most skilled aliens he could find, Mantises Harp and Rock and himslef, and an Engi named Carlos. They set onto their quest on The gila monster, layout A, destroying all pirates and rebels they could find. After some time, they encountered a hostile slaver ship. Instead of giving one of them up, they killed the slavers, and convinced a Rockman, named Crackman, to join their crew. Eveything was going really well in the first few sectors. Cpt Brotato figured their chances of winning were decent.
Then they got into a fight with a pirate ship, their O2 replenishing system was destroyed during the battle. They all suffocated to death within few minutes.
The end.

I've always hated Nebulas, ever since I first got the game. Guess what I had to go through today... No matter what, I was forced to go through at least three Nebulas. My ship was blown up in the third one by some rebel scum. Shame, I had been doing pretty well. The Clone Bay saved my ass numerous times.

I feel real bad for you, Nebulas fucking suck, there is no random event I hate more then Ion Storms, they suck far more then asteroids and solar flares, that and I love my sensors, so fuck that shit!
