Jade then rose out from her chair, she looked furious. "You're doubting even THAT!? Of course I care about him! Now get out if you're going to just insult me!"

"J-Jade, calm down, that wasn't what he meant." Durga stood up as well, reaching over the table and grabbing onto her shoulder.

Isa blinked, not having much of a reaction to this at all. "...So, do you care about him.
But that reaction was strange."
"Hmph, what's that supposed to mean, girlie?" Jade asked.
"All Mirai did was ask if you cared, but you blew up like that? Even if people have said things like that to you before, if you were able to keep a level head when Deborah and Mirai were about to tear each other apart earlier, why'd this set you off?" Isa asked.
"Don't you know what a rumour is? I've been hearing people say this shit behind my back since his wife died and I'm sick of it!" Jade exclaimed.
Durga was looking at Isa and Mirai's reactions, rather than Jade's. Isa still regarded Jade with some very obvious suspicion.

Durga couldn't see his expression but Mirai's head was tilted as he stared up at Jade.
"Sorry, I just wanted to know if what Sage said was true or not, I wouldn't know anything about what other people said about you." Mirai said.

Isa continued staring right at Jade.
She opened up her mouth, and the words felt different when she asked them. "Were the rumours true, at one point or another?"
Jade blinked, eyes turning green just for a moment before she let out a small cough. "...I-... At first, I did just see an opportunity for myself... but, over time, I did start to care about him genuinely. Is that wrong? It's not like it was anything but a job for me at first. We're not like most other royal couples, who are introduced to each other for the sake of strengthening alliances between kingdoms. We're people who spent time together and learned to care about each other."
"...I see." Isa answered.
Durga looked at Isa oddly. Jade blinked again, looking over at Isa with a shocked expression.
"W-What did you just do?" Jade asked.

Durga remained standing, "If you try anything, it won't succeed."

Durga raised a eyebrow, before looking at Isa and Mirai.
