"I hope she is okay." Mirai said.

"So, putting all of that aside, how much did Lazarus tell you so I can kindly fill in the blanks?" Ambrosius asked, staring at both Mirai and Isa.

"I think that's about it." Mirai said before looking at Ambrosius.

Ambrosius closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.

"...The Smith Family values three things: honesty, resourcefulness and cooperation, what I don't value is backstabbing and wastefulness when it comes to precious resources. I don't have the same advantages Rajendra has as I don't have an element that can allow me to create anything with a snap of my finger, or the same advantages Carvus has who's kingdom has been here before every person sitting at this table was born and has a lot of experience and wisdom I imagine, I am a business man first, a king second. When I was a prince, I have met plenty of shady business types who screwed over my father who was too trustworthy and careless as his alliance with the Basara Kingdom costed us everything and it took us a while till we hit the mother lode, we found a literal gold mine filled with gold, I suspect that the gold element originally landed there before it was picked up by the Lakhani's, we used the gold to reclaim what we lost and made trades with other kingdoms to gain their favors, that's how I got the 4 elements I had before Deborah stole 2 of them. Lazarus and Samuel approached me and the three of us formed an alliance, we helped each other out from time to time till a unexpected flu season occurred which paused the war for a short amount of time, a lot of villagers and soldiers got sick." Ambrosius said.

Ambrosius nodded.

"At that time, supplies were delayed as a result of the flu and a lot of my people were sick so I had to manage with what I had at the time, Samuel came to me and was desperate, saying he needed more medicine to save his wife, I was willing to give him one bottle but he said he needed more before I told him that I had my own kingdom to look after, his wife wasn't the only one who was sick, I understood his plight but between friendship and my kingdom, I always put my people above all else. Samuel wasn't too happy as he left and two days later, I was told that all the medicine was missing from the storage, I knew immediately that it was Colorado's doing even if Lazarus wouldn't of confirmed his crime to me. I understood his plight but leaving us without any medicine put my people in danger, it's the same as someone sneaking into your house at night and stabbing you in the back while you're sleeping. He broke all three values at once and lost my trust." Ambrosius frowned.

"...But did you really need to try to poison him? Couldn't you had found a different way to punish him?" Mirai asked.

"If I simply ignored what he did and gave him a slap on the wrist, then the other kingdoms would of considered me a spineless milquetoast let's his allies take advantage off so I had to teach Samuel and everyone else who will have the same idea as him a lesson and a warning as well. Samuel survived after a soldier stopped him from drinking the poison but his army was weakened after the rest of the soldiers drank the poisoned drinks but I figured he learned his lesson and I decided to leave him alone since then, I din't anticipate that his kingdom would of been destroyed by the others shortly after, King Kirifuda's army was part of the raid, it made sense why Colorado took out his kingdom a few days ago." Ambrosius sighed.

Everything Ambrosius said rang true to Isa.

"I suppose you could say that. Mind you, I don't consider myself blameless in this whole thing, me, Lazarus and Samuel are at fault for the terrible events that are happening right now that costed the lives of Samuel's victims including Lazarus' daughter but I had my reasons for what I did. I'm certain Kei and Jade must have some valid reasons to have trusted the witch who burned my kingdom to the ground but it doesn't mean I will forgive them despite whatever their motives are." Ambrosius frowned.

"The first element Deborah earned from the Songs allowed her to manipulate people by sensing their sinful temptations and force them to indulge their desires through her singing, that is probably how she joined forces with King Balanque. Those two weren't strong enough to resist her spell it seems." Joan commented.

"She attempted that same trick on the Kraven's when she was still ambushing northern kingdoms." Ambrosius added.

"The only use I had for that element was sensing the greed inside my business partners so I can safely determine who would be the most likely person to screw me over. That woman made good use of that element alright." Ambrosius commented.

"Isa took all the elements Deborah had, including the one you just mentioned, right?" Mirai asked, looking at Isa.
