Heroes VS Villains RP: Season Zero

The armour around Deborah's face cracked apart and split into many different floating shards of crystal again, revealing a coy smile on the other end.

"Oh really, and that's her, is it?" Deborah asked, leaning back in her seat.

Sage pulled himself up from the floor, pressing himself against the closed door of the carriage on Deborah and Balanque's side in order to get a bit of space. With all these people and a owl in it, it was somewhat crowded.

Isa remained seated on the table with Mirai, while Lady Jade bent down to pick the statuette and crown up off the floor, handing the crown back to Kei as she placed the statuette near Mirai and Isa.

Isa didn't notice this, instead responding to Deborah. "Yes, it is. You're certainly not going to save this world, with everything you've been doing!"

Deborah sighed. "Look, kids. Do you even know how you're going to end the war?"

"Y-Yes, I'm going to use the weaponry element I got from the Rouge's to stop weapons from being developed, then use empathy, truth and all the other good elements to stop situations from escalating. If I need to, I'll even use the peace element that the Holymoons have!" Isa explained.

"...If it was that easy, then why haven't any of the people with these elements by their sides done that yet?" Deborah asked her. "Why hasn't the guy with the peace element used it to force everyone else to be in peace and stop the war that way?"

"...Hey, you don't know what you're talking about. Shut your mouth." Prince Balanque told him.

Deborah sighed, twirling some hair in her fingers. "...I told them, either they give me the elements, or everyone who tries to stop me dies. After saying something like that, it'd be disingenuous of me not to do that, wouldn't it? They could have led me straight to the elements, or even just stayed out of my way and ran for it. But they had to try and fight me instead.

But beyond that, you're not wrong. I'm not making things better. I'm not the kind of person who can do things like that. It'll be fun to see you try and improve this world, however."

"Then how are you going to do it?" Deborah asked, leaning forwards.

"A-hem!" Sage cleared his throat, "Excuse me?"

"...Yes?" Lord Kei asked.

"You two lied to those guards, and to me!" Sage said. "You two said these two were still imprisoned in the crystal barricade, but they were with you all this time!? When these two told me what was happening, I chose to believe in you- but this-!!"

Lady Jade met his eyes perfectly, while Lord Kei averted his gaze.

"...It's all we could do. Either that, or she destroyed our kingdom the way she destroyed the Smiths." Lady Jade explained.

Deborah outright cackled at that.

"And what's so funny!?" Sage asked, he was tearing up.

"Oh, nothing. Nothing at all." Deborah smiled, her glowing eyes looking straight at Jade, like she was daring her to continue.

"There was a lie and a truth in there." Isa whispered. "Deborah did give them that ultimatum, but this wasn't their only option."

"That doesn't makes sense." She then added, speaking loudly this time. "Why didn't you just keep her in the prison?"

"S-She was let out... by someone..." Lord Kei said. "O-Obviously..."

"So she convinced someone it is in their best interest to let her out? Who would fall for that?" Sage asked.

"We didn't let her out, but whoever did, they lead her right to our castle- we were coming home and she was already-" Lady Jade started.

"What about one of you, on your own?" Isa asked.

Jade slammed her high heel on the table again. "Whatever you're trying to get me to say, I'm not going to say it!"

"...Please, just admit it." Sage requested, looking Jade in the eyes. "I... despite all of the rumours, I believed in both of you."

Jade shook her head, gripping her sash. "Why... Why are you crying!?" She roared, standing up to her full height, bonking her head on the carriage's ceiling as she slammed her foot down on the floor. "Is the kingdom destroyed!? Are our alliances ruined!? No! Sit your ass down and try to understand! That little girl there is no different than Deborah! She is simply younger and more naïve!"

"That is not what we're talking about, my Lady." Sage told her, with venom in his tone.

"And you!" Jade then directed her attention to Mirai, who Isa held onto tighter than before. "Who do you think you are!? Even if I did let her out, does it matter? Has she done anything since I let her out!? Or are you just assuming she's going to do the same?"

"I don't know, is she?" Jade asked, looking over towards Deborah.

Deborah put a hand to her chin for a moment, "Hm, let's see..."

"Oh, just say it already." Jade groaned, sounding very stressed. Lord Kei was retreating further into his seat, shaking like a leaf.

Eventually, Deborah did settle on a sentence. "...It doesn't matter to me whether the kingdom remains or is destroyed, but Kei here's made it clear he doesn't want anything to be destroyed and Jade agrees with him.

The Lakhani kingdom is so large that even if I did take out the castle, I assume it would remain, but regardless of that. Yes, I am after the elements and I will use force if they refuse to give them to me. Did you expect anything else, child?"

"I'm going to tear open a hole in space and invite some friends in to help manage things here." Deborah smiled. "You've seen several of them at work already, I assume. They gave their powers to most of the people you've personally killed, from what I heard.

They only ask for a couple of things in return, then they give the humans here whatever it is they desire. Some even only ask for the powers to be returned. But I've got the deal to end all deals planned out and nobody's going to be able to say no."
