Heroes VS Villains RP: Season Zero

The door shut behind him automatically, Sage grabbed hold of the reins and the horses took off as fast as they could, heading down the road towards the castle.

"S-Sage, the speed limits!" One of the guards reminded him.

"Sod the speed limits!" Sage responded, heartily.

"It's a safety precaution. If you're going too fast in one of these things, it can be hard for the horse to stop in time which can lead to an accident, so there's laws in place to stop people from going too fast." One of Sage's guards leaned over to explain.

They were going past many different buildings and many different people too fast to keep track, there were carriages with packages of food and supplies attached to them, one that was being carried forth by a donkey instead of a horse, etc...

Steadily, they approached a set of spires in the distance with a crystal gate in front of it, Sage started to slow down only when the guards stationed in front of it took notice of him approaching.

"The founder of the Liern Kingdom found the element within the mountains here and used it to make the kingdom. The crystals are readily available and a useful resource." Sage explained, "Now, girl, I recommend you show them what you just showed me." He then added, as the carriage slowed to a stop right in front of the gate.

"...Sage? Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be checking up on the farms near the Legume kingdom?" One of the gate guards asked.

"We don't have time for that!" Sage explained, "Do you see this girl next to me, she's one of the four maidens and she came to me with a omen of disaster. You know how the Lord and Lady have made plans to relocate to the Lakhani kingdom?"

"L-Lady Jade told us not to discuss this!" A gate guard snapped at him.

"Show them!" Sage said.

Isa glowed purple again, before showing the two gate guards the same vision she showed Sage.

"I-... What was that?" A gate guard asked.

"It's a trick, that's what. Lady Jade told us that the maiden would use any means necessary to get passed us and to our kingdom's elements!" The second called out.

"It's not a trick, you dolts! She's using the clairvoyance element that the Kraven kingdom gave to her after she assisted in the fight against the Colorado's!" Sage told them.

"How do we know for sure that she's doing that? Lady Jade told us that she took the illusion element from the Kraven's as well!" One of the gate guards said, reaching for their weapon.

Sage blinked, putting his hand to his mouth. "...Well, maiden?"

"What Mirai said, I didn't take that element, look, I'll show you!" Isa stood up from her seat.

"-You'll show us another illusion, you mean?" The guard asked her.

"...Wait, I'm confused." One of Sage's personal guards said.

Sage let out a small sigh, adjusting his lapel again. "...As the minister of trade, I'm using my authority here. You will let us into the castle. Tell Lady Jade that we're coming in, we'll settle the matter of whether this is true or not with her. Not with you, understood?"

"But she said-"

"Understood?" Sage cut him off.

"...Understood, sir." The gate guard sighed, dejectedly as he pulled a lever, causing the gate to open up. "We'll inform her that you're here."

The carriage went through the gates, into a garden filled with more statues than plants before it stopped by the stairs.

Sage opened up the carriage door and stepped out.

"She lied alright." Isa repeated, stepping out after Sage. "...I think you were right."

Sage was already heading straight for the castle entrance, opening by himself before a guard could assist him.

"Well, come on then." He bid to the duo, and to his own personal guards as he stepped into the foyer.

Framed by a set of stairs that led to the second floor was a small, but steadily growing tree with white flowers blooming in its branches.

"...Huh, apple blossoms." Isa took the time as she stepped in. There were two doors on either side of the foyer, a mirror set up by the stairs and a set of plants growing at the windowsill.

A guard standing by the second floor looked to Sage, who glared at him.

"Well, tell the Lady that I'm here, and that I've got a matter of utmost importance to bring to her attention." He said, gesturing to Isa and Mirai with his eyes.

The guard then went out of side, presumably going to do what Sage bid him to do.
