I think this is my fourth writing thread? So over the Summer I got more serious about my writing and made a Patreon, which you can find here!: www.patreon.com/LyricHartwellThe way my Patreon page works is all of my short stories and outlines/behind the scenes notes are behind a $1 paywall, which will still be true of anything I link to here but if you give me a pm I'll likely just link it to you for free Β―\_(γ)_/Β― Poems, essays, and concept art are all posted for free. Basically, this will just be a place for me to link new Patreon posts in case anyone wants to read any of that. I'll also post anything that is too low stakes for Patreon here (fan-fic or writing prompts probably). Anyway, hope you enjoy, if you do read anything I post here I'd love to hear any feedback or thoughts you have!

www.patreon.com/posts/chasseresse-20473692I've already posted about this story before, but this is the one that got published in Skald 2018(which is a silver medal finalist for a national award!). It's about a vampire named Eve living in France in the 16th-17th century, and is essentially an overview of a story and world I'm going to continue to flesh out.

www.patreon.com/posts/bamidele-short-20741352A short story set in the same universe as my WIP fantasy novel(which really needs a title). It is behind the paywall, and more or less needs the outline to be understood, but I'm quite proud of this one.

www.patreon.com/posts/early-draft-of-20858884An early draft of the Nexus(WIP fantasy novel) story. I wrote this in highschool, so it's kinda interesting to go back and see what the world was like in those earlier days of my mind.

www.patreon.com/posts/conall-burke-art-20859002Hey, now this one isn't behind a paywall! It's some concept art a friend of mine did of one of the Nexus characters! In fact, I'll copy the whole thing here: Conall Burke - Concept Art + Description! Aug 19 at 4:39pm Hello friends! Decided to do something a little different today! My wonderful friend Jo(https://twitter.com/robin_aint_hood) helped me out a while back my doing a lovely little concept of one of my characters, Conall Burke! Hopefully, I'll be collaborating with her more in the future on other concepts for characters and creatures from my on-going WIP fantasy novel, Nexus. Her art is lovely and amazing and I highly recommend you follow the link to her twitter! In the meantime, I thought I'd take this opportunity to describe this character a bit in a place where everyone can see! ~ Conall is one of the main characters of Nexus. He's the Royal Protector of the Princess(α»mα» α»badarin) Zola. Being her protector since she was a child, he's formed a close bond to her, and given Zola's strange and incredible powers, she knows her protector almost as well as she knows herself. The two of them are inseparable, but not everyone is happy with Conall's role as Royal Protector. Conall is a Beithfir, a giant from the Northern land of SearΓocht. The Beithfir are a metaphoric species who over the course of their centuries long lifetimes become more and more like the beastly Beithigh. As the transformation slowly happens over the course of a Beithfir's lifetime, they grow antlers, fangs, and claws, and slowly transform from man into beast. Conall is fairly young at only 70 years, lacking any identifying features of a Beithigh, but he is still feared by the people of Zola's land, α»lα»fojike. Not only are the Beithfir feared for their ultimate beastly transformation, but their culture and values are seen as immoral and an existential threat to the culture of α»lα»fojike. Some see Conall's closeness to the heir to the throne a corruption of traditional values. Despite this, in the hostile ad often violent political climate of α»lα»fojike brought on by the exploitation of the lower classes by the monarchy and economic elites, few could disagree that the giant is not the best protector for the young princess. And none would dare to try and separate him and his charge. When political tension eventually boils over into revolt, Conall embarks on a mission to journey with Princess Zola and a small group of other friends and protectors to his homeland of SearΓocht, where she'll be safe. But it is here that his past will came back to haunt him, and may even bring more danger to Zola's life than the war at home. ~ If you find Conall or the story interesting, then please consider donating $1 a month to unlock my patreon feed and read new excepts and short stories every week! Every little bit helps, and I really appreciate it!

www.patreon.com/posts/life-in-gray-21724568Here's one of three poems I wrote, I'll just post in full all three as they're not behind any paywall: This one is my attempt to try and convey my experiences with suicidal ideation, how I live with these thoughts and have to survive them pretty much every day.

www.patreon.com/posts/childhood-dreams-21724598When I was younger I often had dreams of shapeshifting into a wolf or a bird and running away, turning into a little girl and finding a family who would love me. Probably the earliest signs that I was trans, and also a way of dealing with my abusive family... anywhere here's a poem about that.

And that's everything up to date. I'm workshopping a short story and a couple more poems, and I may upload some AC Odyssey fan-fic just to this thread, but yeah, if you've got the time I'd really appreciate if you read and gave your thoughts on some of what I've posted!
