Kinda wanna talk about Her and how she was done better than Kenny in Season 2. Granted, her first scene felt a bit weird and convenient, but I think her original personality is still intact. She always had a tendency to turn on a dime emotionally and that's still there.
Don't even get me started on how she's clearly putting up a front, though - Abel seems to question her authority a lot, pushing her to be harsher and more vindictive when, if you look at her expression, she kinda doesn't want to be. Her character in Season 4 seems to be based around this Carley quote:
"You think you're some tough bitch, don't you? Like nothing can hurt you. But, you're just a scared little girl." I think that's evident in how she acts. She's putting up a front to maintain her grip on the Delta and win this war they're fighting.
Then there's the whole Mitch thing. Let's be honest - we all know Mitch was gonna die because of the focus he got this episode. Personally I was thinking he'd blow himself up or something, but Lilly's reaction to killing him is interesting. I don't think she did it on purpose..? She did it because she was taken off guard, and her reaction shows that - she looks shocked, curses herself and then prevents him from reanimating. When I first played I didn't put together that she didn't mean to kill him, but thinking about it it's just a really interesting situation and if they do make ep3 and 4 and don't fuck it up I hope that they follow it through.
As a side note I'm glad you have the chance to barely/not recognise her, considering it's been 8 years.
I'm glad you can call her everything I called her on the forum five years ago. Put a smile on my face.

I kinda burst out laughing at the line "Her dad was a racist asshole" when talking to Violet later in the episode lol

There's also a chance that the player wouldn't recognize her if he/she picked up the game without playing or watching Season 1.

TBH, I don't know how I feel about Lilly. I liked her in S1 because you could empathize with her a lot. She was conflicted between wanting to keep everybody alive, and hating their refusal of her help, but she was still basically a good person. Nobody ever thinks they're the villain, and I think Lilly was the best example of that that the walking dead ever got. Now she's sending kids to fight in wars, and holding guns to Clementine's head. But then again, I guess her characterization is incomplete in this new season. She obviously is open to more development revolving around her true feelings about hurting kids and Clem especially, but there just isn't enough there yet to say if I still like her.

I really hope we can make Lily stop being a shit depending on our choices, would make sense given Clem's speech about how even bad people deserve a second chance, Lily hesitating to shoot you, and just the sheer amount of choices to not be a dick to her.

Kinda funny how Lilly makes Abel go on patrol with her a day after he's amputated when she has multiple able-bodied people in her camp.

He seems to not be 100% confident in her leadership so maybe she has to keep him close at hand (pun entirely intended) so he doesn't stage a coup or some shit.

I never got along with Lilly. So, her becoming the antagonist for the Final Season is fitting for me. I'll never forgive her for killing Carley.
One thing I thought about was what if we had an option to mention Lilly's dad at her during the raid. Something like, "What do you think your dad would say if he saw you now? Abducting kids to fight your battles."
If there was an option for it, I might've even gone as far as to accuse her and the Raiders they've been raping the kids they took.

I really think we need to take a second to appreciate both romance scenes, especially in the wake of the Telltale closing. Everyone that had a hand in constructing those two scenes deserves all the credit in the world. I can't imagine it's an easy thing to write to start... hence why so many "love" scenes are corny as shit, but both struck all the right notes. They were the perfect balance of everything that they needed to be: adorable, awkward, romantic and, above all else, naturally unnatural. Together they came together to embody young love seamlessly. Something that may make no sense, but simultaneously makes all the sense in the world.
And now remember that these scenes were constructed to play to an audience that was VERY MUCH skeptical of love and sexual relationships in Walking Dead games on the heels of the abortion of a scene with Gabe Garcia in New Frontier. So fucking impressive. Bravo.

I never got along with Lilly, Kenny was mah boi 'til the end (Which makes it feel even better that she's an antagonist in my game), but I wouldn't say I hated her. It was more of a dislike. Larry was the one I actually detested (Hence why "He was a racist old asshole is objectively the best line of the episode). I'd really like it if it were possible to bring her around and make her see the immorality of drafting a bunch of poor kids to fight the Viet Cong other survivors.
I hope, if the other episodes ever actually come out, that we get to tell her about everything that happened after she left us. It'd be good to see her reactions about Kenny, Lee, Ben, then Kenny again when he comes back with an awesome beard. But maybe "Kenny is technically AJ's uncle" would be too awkward to just throw out at the Delta's equivalent of a water cooler.
