A new interview with Naughty Dog's president almost sounds like a direct jab at Telltale. In a recent interview with Naughty Dog's president he describes what it was like making two games at the same time, and the way he described it... well, it's the polar opposite of the way Telltale describes it. In case you're wondering, Naughty Dog is a gaming company. A very well one, I might add. They made great games like Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter, Uncharted, and The Last of Us. Here is the interview. In case you don't want to watch the video, here is the transcript of the important parts: "Staffing two full teams was just impossible. We just couldn't recruit the talent in order to accomplish that so we ended up with about a team and a quarter, maybe a team and a third depending on the time of year." "We've certainly given up any dream or fantasy that we'd ever be able to fully accomplish the two full teams." "In order to maintain that number of people (200) in that high level of talent and to be able to grow beyond that without diluting the talent... it's not important enough for us to get to a two team situation and we're very comfortable now with being able to GIVE OUR FULL EFFORT TO ONE BIG PROJECT and then be ready for the next game after that."

Lol, I'm pretty sure Telltale hardly registers on their radar, if at all. Naughty Dog is 1000 times more important to gaming than Telltale could ever dream. This isn't Naughty Dog "calling out" TTG, this is two different companies having different needs and standards of practice. Plus, not to mention, last time I checked, wasn't TTG 300 people? I know it's only 100 more people, but I mean, it's 100 more people. In each of two equally sized teams, Telltale would have almost Naughty Dog's entire staff.
Side note, we all pretty much hate TTG at this point, but it's weird how you go out of your way to find things to harp on that aren't really relevant.

They've mentioned their brief two-teams setup for like two years, Telltale doesn't factor in at all. They identified a flaw in their setup of the company and rectified it.
It's purely coincidence, and for the record Naughty Dog is like a billion times better.

I was really hoping nobody would notice. Also wanted to point that out, but thought it was just a coincidence As for the topic: Telltale may have more people, but they're stuck with a 12 year-old technology and a 5 year-old gameplay formula. Even those five years are ancient history in gaming. They're just pumping out games and, given the sales record, it's not going to get better. ND takes their time with games and it shows (except of U4 - I hate that game, but I understand that the majority of gaming community believes it's a GOTY material). Telltae needs to rething their approach and maybe - given the change of CEO - they finally realized that. Who knows what happens after Guardians will finish.
