I'd also like to mention that I expect TWDG3 to fall between TWDGM and TWDG2 on my list by the time it's done - average at best. Dear Past Jayko:

Just curious, what is better in your eyes, Michonne or ANF? Probable ANF spoilers/alludes to spoilers: I'm honestly not sure. I replayed Michonne a month or two ago and it was as bland as a damn rice cake, but it didn't enrage me in 3 episodes as much as ANF did in 1.
I only really cared about 1 character in either game (Alex in TWDM, Mariana in ANF - the former 'because kid' and the latter 'because kid' plus general likeable personality), but while I had a reason to care during TWDM, ANF took it away as soon as I had it.
Oh, and the villains. Randall was a walking cliche but I liked him because he was well voiced and he was very much a love-to-hate character, while I just dislike the New Frontier because they literally got away with murder twice over and it seems like they're going to keep getting away with it because of their leader who will undoubtedly blame what happened on Javier, while Randall paid for his actions in the exact same episode.
Monroe/Norma was actually morally grey by comparison to the New Frontier, who are just 'bad guys who do bad shit with no repercussions'. Norma actually gave people a lot of chances and had the ability to be reasonable during the trade off, while that Badger prick is just like "ok we'll let you surrender and then I'm gonna trick you and probably not fulfil the deal lol", probably "because villain is evil."
(Also Norma's apologies actually felt somewhat legitimate and honest while Max being like "IS NAHT LAHK A DURN'T HAVE A HEART, M'KAY?" is just TTG backpedalling super hard so that the player is more open to the NF when its leader is revealed to be so & so.)
I've been writing this out and it's actually put some shit in perspective for me. Might just be that my hatred of ANF is still fresh, but I'm honestly gonna say TWDGM is better based on how I feel right now - I never thought it was as bad as other people did to be honest. Opinions could change though, tbh.

Anyway, updated my list with Batman S2 and kinda MC:SM S2.
I know I gave Batman a 10/10, but that doesn't necessarily mean I think it's better than or I like it more than TWD S1.... okay, it might, but honestly? I'm just not sure. I think Batman S2, TWD S1, and Tales are all pretty much on equal footing, but I just couldn't bring myself to give TWD S1 even a symbolic 10/10 because Episodes 1 and 4 are honestly boring as sin, and I really just can't overlook that.

By the way, replaying Tales and it's aged very well. Forgot a lot of great jokes and even the ones I remember are still great. And the characters still wonderful. Definitely the funniest Telltale game.

Controversial opinion but after 6 years a lot of TWD S1 is boring as sin. Controversial opinion but I also still don't think TWDM is that bad. Also I don't think I'll add Batman 2 to my list (if I even have one) because A) I haven't played it myself and B) I just wouldn't be able to rate it very high because while I can appreciate it was a good series, I just really couldn't get into it. There's just a sort of disconnect where I can't visualise where it would go even if I had played it.

I mean, I still think it's capital B Bad, but it's not terrible or anything. Just... Bad. And that's fair about Batman. Me giving it a 10/10 is mostly because I was affected on a very personal emotional level by the finale. It's been a really long time since I've even thought of replaying TWD S1 because... yeah, a lot of it is kinda boring.

And that's fair about Batman. Me giving it a 10/10 is mostly because I was affected on a very personal emotional level by the finale. I suppose I feel a similar way about Thrones. That game was pretty much all I had when I was in a pretty bad spot mentally, which probably explains why I'd get so volatile and defensive when people slagged it off (and tbh I'm still pretty defensive of it now but come to think of it my attitude was generally pissy back in 2014-15) but I can understand that it doesn't resonate with... probably anyone in the exact same way it did with me. It's been a really long time since I've even thought of replaying TWD S1 because... yeah, a lot of it is kinda boring. This is why I'm grateful there's less puzzles and more action in present day telltale at least. The puzzles and dry spells kind of wear thin when you're sitting there not having to work them out, knowing exactly what comes next.

Weird as it is to say it, I do think part of why I resonated so strongly with Batman S2 is because of John. There's something I find immensely relatable in trying to do your absolute best, but ultimately failing because of an illness you can't control. The tragedy of the Joker in this season really struck me on a personal level. And I totally get why you have that connection to Game of Thrones. There are stories that have helped me when I've been overcome by depression, and I suppose it's very similar to how you feel about GOT. I honestly don't begrudge your defensiveness, even at it's worst(okay, I admit that I was kinda hurt when you blocked me with no explanation, but other than that). I have those same irrational reactions, but mine tend to me... inwardly aimed, I guess. There's a part of me that is deeply ashamed of letting media be such an important part of my life and my mental health.

Even in one of the post credits scenes with joker, you can just see the struggle on him. It was such a great fantastic amazing ending.

Here's my list
God tier: Batman TEW, TWD S1,TWAU, TFTBL
Hey, That's pretty good tier: TWD S2, GoT
Boring tier: Batman S1, GORG MOVIE
I can't really remember it but I don't think it was that bad tier: MCS1
The worst things I've ever experienced in my life tier: ANF, Michonne

Ye: Game of Thrones
Good: The Walking Dead, Tales From the Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us, Batman: The Enemy Within
Bad. The Walking Dead 2, The Walking Dead: Michonne
Ugh: Minecraft Story Mode S1&2, Guardians of the Galaxy, Batman
Failed Abortions: The Walking Dead ANF
I think a lot of my favour comes from not only personal experience with the games themselves, but also the theories, interactions and hype I had surrounding them, which is why Thrones tops the list.

If I ever do those Walking Dead Restrospective videos I'm planning on writing for when I get my YouTube Channel up and running, I think I might actually buy a retail copy of A New Frontier just to smash it for the video.
(Harp mentioned wanting to do that to TWD Michonne earlier in this thread)
