I think it's real sweet that everything turned out okay. Annie's diary is adorable. I wish there had been more to Thomas, but you can't have everything I suppose.
Personally, I would like to see what happened to Bennett. Maybe Russell? And Hector. Fingers crossed that he survived.

Overall the series was great! I loved how you decided to put Rodrik, Ryon, and Elissa at the end. Like Crack (I think?) Said thoguh, Annie should've either stayed dead, or been in a position that made sure she wouldn't have died. I understand that she's your favorite character, but it seems very anti-climatic. Also, I'm gonna go on record and say Thomas was a waste of a character. I was expecting his action to remove the barricade be crucial to a character's survival, but ended up doing nothing but have his own story. I mean Asher's all the way out in Essos, but still has ties to the rest of the PCs. And now my questions:
Was the decision to remove Bonnie make your story canon to the official game in case she appears in Season 3?
How come you never chose to state what happened to other 400 Days characters, like Eddie and Nate?
Back in Season 2, you said that Justin was gonna be part of Sanctum. Did you ever have a plan to put him at the Eastland Mall?
Why leave Hector's fate unknown?
Although not mentioned, are Ethan, Gregor, and Asher also at the Mall?
With your permission, could I make a story, either canon or non-canon to ITF, that explains what happened to Russell after Season 1?

I actually like the fact that Bonnie, Hector and Russell fate was left unresolved I think everything that I can say right now I already said it in my last reivew of ITF:S3. I think I might want to emphasize the fact that in the end you should be the one to choose what you are going next and that I would approve and back up your decision. Firstly I like to point out that it felt quite heart-warming to find out about the fact that Annie is learning to read and write and that she has managed to make it through and arguably manage to gain more emotional strength in spite of the trauma and near death expirience she suffered, also it was nice to see that some members of Natalia's family made it. The whole scene with Annie and Becca acting like family was lovely and very heart-warming, still a bummer that Vince is exiled, ofc. Now for the big one: I barely shed a tear at the end of the TWDG:S1, I was not sad but angry with TWDG:S2 finale. Yet when yesterday I finally caught up with the fact that there was only one chapter left a few hours after reading it I couldn't help but shed a few manly tears. I really would possibly not be more grateful of that day in early August in which while checking a thread analyzing the screw ups in Amid The Ruins, I just happened to read a comment that mentioned "Into The Fray". It hooked me from the start. Read the first four episodes through the entirety of the day (not a very fast reader ) and re-read the following day just to find out that 'Nowhere to Run' just happened to start that day that was just like a god sent, loved the way the lat episode pan out and I was positively surprised to see how well it ended. Then I started to follow the fic in every place in which discussions about it were performed eventually I end up making an account on both the TTG and the OTWDG Forum, Tumblr, Wattpad and Deviant Art so I could show my support for the story everywhere it was advertised, I guess you could said that in a way I end out befriending the author. I was hectic when I found out that we were gonna get a Season 2 which I liked just as much as the original, I just loved how it showed new characters which I found quite easy to relate to and the whole Sanctum plot, then there was that low time in the number of reviews and the appearance of more critic points of views in the story which caused the author to be demoralized and not being sure whether or not to continue the story, which considering how much of a downer ending it was and how many loose end it left was absolutely heart-breaking. And then after an agonic wait one month and a half in which I started to think that Jake put an unresloved cliffhanger on us, Season 3 was finally announced. I loved it through and through, I initially dreaded the fact that so many characters were left with an unknown fate in the previous season but in the end they ended getting reunited and everything came together, the start of the season felt a bit slower than previous season's but it helped to increase it's build-up, might had been my favourite season although I liked them all so much that it is kinda hard to choose. I was glad to see that this time the amount of reviews increased so significantly compared to previous season's. I would like to point out that some aspects particularly, dialogue, had improved a lot through the story's progression which I obviously found absolutely great. I think I never felt such an urgue to keep reading a story ever before neither did I ever felt so invested and worried about the fate of a group of fictitious characters, in my eyes it was a perfectly natural continuation of the 400 Days story and I will forever say that it should be Cannon. Should it continue? Well ITF had been an absolute blast to read through and I never regret the time I invested reading and commenting about such a great story, that said I'm still not sure if I want it to continue, unlike Season 2 the Season's 3 finale did bring closure and a rather more positive (if still "bitter-sweatish") ending to the series and as Orson Wells once said: "If you want a happy ending, that depends, of course, on where you stop your story". I'm afraid that if the story continues it will reach a point in which it would hit a sad ending or that if it was dragged for to long it would start to become a bit stagnant... With all that said I would TOTALLY support a next season of Into The Fray or anything else you want to write, I'm sure you can still come up with fresh and interesting ideas for a possible sequel or for something new entirely. In the end the choice of what you should do is only YOURS, Thunderslate, just do what you truly WANT to do. Now I guess I should give a "brief" answer of the "favorites" questions: Character: My favorite were Becca (should be no surprise), Annie, Miles, Vince, Em and Kiff. I eventually grew on Mitchell (in spite of being a brat), Sully and Thomas (He was a blast to read but I was not warming up at him at first because I thought it was gonna be the main Villain, well played). Death: Miles, there has been some arguments on the forum's thread on how Ralph should had survived Episode 3 and be the one to sacrifice itself to save the rest at the end of 'Blood Runs Cold'... I call bollocks, first because I doubt Ralph got so invested in the group to do that (yes he died helping the group escape in 'The Enemy Within' but he couldn't be certain that by blocking the door he would got caught by walkers) and second because I can't really think of a better send off for Miles. The fight with Silas and his dead was also pretty well choreographed and seemed very feasible. Last I should mention was Wyatt demise, it was sad as fuck yet at the same time it felt worthy since it saved Annie. I actually liked the fact that Russell and Hector's fate was left ambiguous. Episode: To hard to choose if there was a number one I think that it would 'A Final Stand', then followed by 'Rest In Piece', 'Don't Look Back', 'In Cold Blood' 'The Enemy Within', 'Blood Runs Cold' , Nowhere To Run' and 'No Way Out' in no particular order. And now that this comment comes to an end I want to announce that I'm planning to re-read and review all the chapters in the first four episodes of Into The Fray so that way I would have reviewed every single chapter in the entire season. (I'm sorry no TL;DR version). Also, damn... I suck at spelling...

I think it's real sweet that everything turned out okay. Annie's diary is adorable. I wish there had been more to Thomas, but you can't have everything I suppose. Personally, I would like to see what happened to Bennett. Maybe Russell? And Hector. Fingers crossed that he survived. I can probably go into the stories of Bennett/Russell/Hector and many more besides if you guys want me to do that "Survivor Stories" thing. I have a couple of ideas. I can see that. The point of the shooting and near-death experience was for closure for her past and for the readers to finally get some answers on what truly happened back then. I get that making it all like she's really dead but having her come back 'fine' probably pissed a couple of people off but when I was writing it I was going for a more " Annie's alive! Woohoo!" reaction. I guess I didn't pull that off well. I'll admit my writing isn't perfect, I'm no award-winning novelist. Also, I'm gonna go on record and say Thomas was a waste of a character. I was expecting his action to remove the barricade be crucial to a character's survival, but ended up doing nothing but have his own story. I mean Asher's all the way out in Essos, but still has ties to the rest of the PCs. That's fair. The original idea was that he would influence situations around the other characters but never actually run into them, such as the herd at the docks following him until Silas spotted it, alongside killing Jethro. Like, imagine if he'd never had POV chapters; the herd would've come out of nowhere, and Jethro would've just been found dead. I could have done better with his role, but I'm pleased with his character. And now my questions: Was the decision to remove Bonnie make your story canon to the official game in case she appears in Season 3? Mostly, but it didn't seem like she had a place in the story any more. I know I probably should have made her have a place rather than let her fall through the cracks, but I played it safe by making it so that she could appear in Season 3 of the game if that's a thing. How come you never chose to state what happened to other 400 Days characters, like Eddie and Nate? Eddie was originally going to be in Season 3 but, like Bonnie, I couldn't find a place for him. Never really intended to put Nate in there, but I can always cover both characters in something else. Back in Season 2, you said that Justin was gonna be part of Sanctum. Did you ever have a plan to put him at the Eastland Mall? I can't say I did. Too many characters returning at once (Lucia & Donald, then Becca, Sully, Emily and Silas later on) probably would've been too much for the reader. But like Eddie & Nate I can always cover his story at some point. Why leave Hector's fate unknown? I would have killed him, but it's always good to have a 'way out' and leave a few fates unknown in case I want to add on to the story. Although not mentioned, are Ethan, Gregor, and Asher also at the Mall? Elissa/Liz, Rodrik/Rodd and Ryan/Ryon are the only three who have showed up. The family was split apart when they first got attacked but I'm fairly sure the unseen family members are probably still alive. The three who showed up at the Mall just had the sense to go back to the camp. With your permission, could I make a story, either canon or non-canon to ITF, that explains what happened to Russell after Season 1? Dunno, man, that might be one of the loose ends I pick up in the "Survivor Stories" if you guys want me to do that.

Really glad you enjoyed it, and I have to thank you for your dedication to the story, be it through feedback, advertising the fic elsewhere or just by reading it. If you hadn't mentioned that you didn't review S1 Ep1-4, I wouldn't have known because it feels like you were always there, reading and reviewing. Cheers

I would like to add that you had inspired me to do a story of my own. Don't worry it isn't even based on The Walking Dead Game Universe. ITF just motivated me to write it... Tough i'm still unsure if I'll write it. Also remeber how i had been planning to make something special? So far it has been jeopardized but it might still happen eventually, I recently came up with another idea after got bored and I happened to stumble across one of the best sites on The Internet (don't worry I'm not talking about that stuff ( ) but something else... I'll show it to you eventually to see what you think...

I have yet to decide, could write an extra chapter though. There's still a few gaps to be filled in.

Right, well if you end up doing that "Survivor Stories" thing, that would be something I'd be interested in reading. Though, being honest, I'm not sure I quite like the idea of that set-up. I mean... I'm not quite sure how to articulate what i'm thinking. But something that would just jump around and tie up loose ends... it's not the most appealing idea to me, personally. Though, a story expanding on this ITF Universe would be more than welcome(and if some characters like Hector showed up, I certainly wouldn't complain).

I'm all for 'Survivor Stories' if a few familiar faces show up.

The way I'm imagining it, the Survivor Stories would just be one-shot chapters for certain characters. None of them would be related but there'd probably be potential to carry on certain POVs. Say the "Bennett" one had more places to go, I could write another one-shot called "Bennett II". Unsure whether to attach those to the end of ITF3's Fanfiction page or start a new one if I did go through with it. I don't know if you read that unfinished Day 100 chapter from Em's dad's POV, but it'd be something like that. They don't have to exclusively tie up loose ends, they can exist for other reasons besides.

Attach it to the end so you get more reviews >:-D Also it seems like someone has took the challenge to write a review to rival my own in lenght (and with much better grammar ) That also reminded me of the fac that I foorgot to mention Lucia as one of my favourite characters.
