No idea, but that Rogue One trailer was great!

I was actually slightly ambivalent about the trailer, to be honest. Not sure why, but it wasn't quite speaking to me the way I hoped it would... and then that scene at the very end. You know the one.
My hype levels exploded like the Death Star.

My hype levels exploded like the Death Star. I assume you mean Darth Vader being confirmed for the movie? Yes I can't wait for that. And James Earl Jones is confirmed to be voicing him once again so that's always great. Not to mention that Saw Gerrera from The Clone Wars is gonna be in it too! Always love to see animated characters get live action appearances.

Sold.

It's easy to bring in a background character like Saw instead of her. For one, he's human so there's no hassle with makeup like there would be with Ahsoka. Plus, Saw is a nobody in Star Wars. Ahsoka is the Padawan of Anakin friggin' Skywalker, and to anybody who's never watched TCW (Which would be a huge amount of people) that would seem like a massive ass pull. Hell, I thought it was a massive ass pull way back when TCW started. Ahsoka just isn't an accessible character for people who only watch the movies.

So, uh, why is this thread labeled "Episode VIII" teaser when right now we're waiting for Rogue One? Because my main account made this thread, so I can't change the title. IDEK, think you can change the asterisk part to *NEW ROGUE ONE TRAILER*?

Same, that's why her role in Rebels worked so well, seeing as many people who watch Rebels were fans of TCW. Maybe we could see Lux Bonteri or Echo one day too, they're probably the only other interesting human characters from TCW I really cared about.

Alright, but other characters from TCW could show up, that would be alright with me.

He isn't tied in with any major plot points or characters, at least beyond having fought against Jedi in the past. He's just a major badass bounty hunter. Essentially the Star Wars version of Clint Eastwood. Also took care of the title. No need to thank me, anyone.

I mean, Cad Bane would be the perfect antagonist for the Obi-Wan movie everyone (rightfully) wants. He's taken on Jedi before, and won, and he and Obi-Wan have a past history that wouldn't be difficult to explain even to people who haven't watched TCW ("He worked with the Separatists during the war, and the last time we met I had him thrown in prison" or something similar). Set free by the new Imperial government with a contract to hunt down any Jedi Knights who escaped Order 66, his path eventually leads him to Tatooine and onto the trail of Obi-Wan. Perfect setup, especially if they take some cues from the old (and beloved) Legends novel "Kenobi" which was essentially a Western with Obi-Wan as the protagonist as he's going into hiding on Tatooine.
Just what I'd want, personally, not sure if it's the best idea but I think it could work.

Personally I'm hoping he shows up in Rebels Season 3 for one last fight with Maul, but this could work out well too If Disney decides to allow it.

So... this thread's been dead for a while. Let's revive it.
I'm excited to see Rogue One - it just seems so different compared to the other Star Wars movies in terms of atmosphere and story. Gonna watch it with some colleagues on the 14th after work. I wish I could've worked on the marketing for that, apparently, some of my co-workers have already gotten sneak peeks, and they're very pleased with what they saw.
I'm a bit irritated because the cast focuses so hard on diversity that it kind of bothers me. I'm not against diversity, but this time, it feels like they tried really hard to satisfy all the SJW tumblr-people.
