Chapter 1 - The Loud Storm:
Nearby houses were beign shaken by the wind. Heavy rain soaked the walls and the street.
Nothing except the glimmer of the moon illuminated the night. The rain was so powerful that each time a raindrop hit a roof it was as strong as if someone was jumping over it.
Nicholas awoke with a near scream, perhaps from a woman, but it was not possible to know thanks to the strong sound of the storm. After this, a door being closed by force was heard. Hard knocks and scratches on wood began to be audible.
Nicholas, after waking up startled, decided to get off the couch where he had fallen asleep. When standing, he stepped on a glass of water that he used the other night to drink sleeping pills. He used to have insomnia. The vessel spilled on the rug, and then all the water was scattered. He took out the mobile from his pocket, and when looking at it he noticed that the battery was nearly depleted. The date and time made Nicholas notice that more than 36 hours had passed since the last time he had been awake.
-No... It can't be... I slept more than a day and a half?- he thought.
Nothing was visible in the living room, as all the lights were off. Nicholas quickly approached the floor lamp and tried turning it on. Nothing happened. Perhaps the storm had caused a blackout.
He noticed that he was thirsty and hungry, but decided to check out what was happening outside first.
The man ran quickly to the window to see what was going on. The bumps and scratches in wood did not stop. Nicholas started hearing sobs, probably from the same woman who screamed not too long ago.
Nicholas looked at the house located next to his and watched as a group of 5 people were trying to open the door, punching and scratching it. The sobs were becoming stronger.
-Stop, please!- Shouted the woman.
They, instead of stopping, began to stir even more. Nicholas did not understand what they were saying, as they were shouting and screaming in a hoarse voice.
Nicholas decided to check by himself what was happening and help the woman. He searched for his key and opened the main door. Without even closing it again he ran to the gate, which he opened fiercely. He started running to the house next door. All his footsteps were stomping on the water that was acumulated on the floor. The man stood at the gate.
He noticed that no one else but him and the group of individuals where on the streets. Where was everybody?
The raindrops started soaking Nicholas' black hair. He started feeling cold, as he wasn't wearing a jacket, only a grey short sleeved shirt and blue jeans.
-What are you doing?!-Shouted Nicholas to the people on the door.
The sobs of the woman stopped.
Individuals who were previously attacking the door, turned to look at the man. Nicholas noticed that all of them had much of a bloody mouth. Their shirts were stained with a dark red. Some of them had marks of gunshots in various parts of the body. Their hands and fingers were damaged because of their previous attack to the door, and under their fingernails they had pieces of skin and flesh. They were producing a putrid smell.
They began to approach slowly but fiercely to Nicholas.
-Stop! Stay right there!- The man shouted.

Chapter 2 - The Bleeding Storm:
One of them was approaching faster than others.
-Stop! I said stop, or I'll call the police!- Nicholas said.
The Individual approached even faster now, and in a moment he fell down on Nicholas.
The loud storm sang with the scream of the man, who when bitten, expressed his pain through his voice.
Part of his arm was torn apart, the skin and the meat were getting separated, and blood began to flow from the bite.
The red liquid was getting thinner when falling and making contact with rainwater, and this mixture formed puddles on the floor.
Every drop of blood stimulated the desire of the individuals to get it.
Nicholas kicked the man and moved away from him.
His arm was bleeding, but it wasn't a really big wound. He desesperately started searching for anything to throw at these people. He found some little rocks, and inmediately threw them at the individuals, who didn't seem to feel anything.
-That man... bite... me? What the fuck?- Nicholas thought.
The door of the house opened, and from inside the woman who was previously crying and sobbing came out with a pistol. She aimed at the head of these people, and killed them without hesitating, except at the last one. Her hands started shaking when there was only one left. After some seconds, she shot him.
She approached Nicholas.
-Are you okay?!- She asked.
-Yeah... Ugh!... I guess. This won't kill me, at- at least... -Nicholas stopped from the pain for a second.- It doesn't seem to be a big wound... Although... I could really use a bandage or something...- Nicholas said.
-Why did you stand there when these walkers started approaching to you?!- The girl asked.
-Walkers?- Nicholas responded.
