After more than 2 months I finally managed to pull it out a second time. I was walking on the base of the cliff near Celeste's lab and suddenly I heared a T. rex roar. I was crounching across the cliff's surface but the god damn thing still heared me at 150 meters. When it was like 40 meters away I chucked a rock to shake it off. It worked and I was about to just crawl away... and then I was like "FUCK IT! I'm going for it" shot it in the lung area 4 times before it actually started to get close to me, after shooting almost 12 bullets at it it still coming towards me. I Managed to circle it before he could kill me(something I had been doing lately a lot with Triceratops) shot it another 2 times causing it to flee, another two quick follow up shots put it down. In the rush I forgot to take a pic at trophy details. It only gave me 2000 XP (which wasn't enough to level up) because the integrity was an 0% but damn... It fell so much worth it... Ten minutes later as I was moving through a small valley a Triceratops that was casually strolling through it suddenly changed course and charge at me killing me -_- Eventually I managed to get my stuff back, find it and kill it.

You mean those shits aren't all herbivores? I mean the Trikes. They are. Well, some paleontologist had suggested that they were omnivorous but that's beside the point. Even if they are herbivores they aren't defenseless.

I get that they aren't defenseless.. but why would you kill them? Couldn't they be potentional allies? Unfortunately there's for now no interspecific interactions between dinosaurs (besides raptors keeping away from T. rexes) so at least for now we can't trigger an epic battle between Trikes and T. rexes (really wish one day we will be able). As to reason to kill them now, well they give you cash and allow you to level up. This ain't TSL here the main objective is to hunt dinosaurs more than outright survival (altough early on it is almost impossible to hunt). The current game back story is that you are a convicted criminal and you had been sent to Primal Eden to kill dinosaurs to clear the place up or die trying, there's a LOT more to it, tough if the stuff on the settler mates on the bases is to be trusted.

New update: Nerfed the Buckshots quite a lot, decreased the population of T. rexes and now they can not just bite you but stomp you -_- But more importantly, they added this puppy: (Yeah that's a fucking .50 Cal Barrett, bitches!) Because a elephant gun wasn't enough, now we can have an anti-material rifle. Harder to find than a needle on a haystack, tough.

Funnily enough, it seems that the .50 cal hasn't been added on today's update due to an oversight.
Early Acces still for the win.

Yesterday the hotfixed the game and finally added the new gun. It seems to spawn in the volcano base but it is VERY rare. I had went over thirty times on it and I hadn't found even a .50 cal bullet for it. Also it is extremely heavy much more so even than the .700 Nitro rifle which makes it extremely unpractical for lone players. . That said I forgot to mention something new on the update: They had gave a new texture to Utahraptor and Triceratops.

A funny ole' floating bug. And I finally found it (only to ditch it after shooting all the ammo for the LOLz because I have no use for it cause it just weights to much). Also the in-game description describes exactly what I tought when I saw the announcement. #RealHuntersDontUseThatCrap Edit: Also because my new avatar picture is puny here is the full size version: Will be hard to beat that one as my new profile pic...

They JUST released a new update (less than 10 minutes ago), they had reduced the spotting outline range, there has been a change in the vertical range of motion when aiming a gun (now you can aim lower and higher), added fallen leaves which can be used to judge the wing direction, several graphic changes and most importantly they had added a new weapon: " Tired of shooting at dinosaurs? Now you can stab them to death!" Substitutes the Improvised Bow as the starting weapon. Also they added a third weapon slot, somehow that wasn't included on the patch notes in spite of beign, well, a pretty big deal. The graphical updates has caused an overall decrease of the FPS. Will prolly need to tone down my graphic settings... After purpossely jumping of the side of the volcano suffering an unfortunate accident, I manage to get the blade, will prolly stick with it since it weights very little, tried it on a Utahraptor and it wasn't really that effective I had heared that the hit detection is kinda akward which makes it hard to use on Velociraptors, I guess I'll find out sooner or latter.

Splats three. Very annoyed by the fact that in spite of getting a heart shot the god damn thing still tank enough shots to decrease it's integrity to an 0% (well an the fact that it almost kill me due to the heart shot "fail") Edit: And a forth already (kinda funny it killed me and within 3 seconds it died from bloodloss -_- but I manage to get my stuff back...) Yeah 0% integrity yet again. So... Was it melanistic? No clue. Edit again*: Holly shit... I got a fifth one... That's 3 in little less than 24 hours. The fucking Kaiju took some killing tough (also I think it's the first time I manage to kill one before he charged towards me.

Several sites online had already catalogued the game. It seems that is due to be fully released by the 31th of this month and that it will cost about 30$ (Ten bucks more than the EA version). So far the devs had not confirmed to which extent the title will be updated once it finally hits full release. It is likely that the the 5th species of huntable animal will be released simultaneously. www.gamersgate.com/DD-HUNTPRIM/thehunter-primalwww.rondomedia.de/alt-presse/newsdetails/article/thehunter-primal-karnickeljagd-war-gestern.htmlI honestly think that they released the game WAY to early and that it should had been developed further before release considering the ammount of bugs and relative lack of content, not sure the game is really worth 30$, really...

It deffinitevely ain't a game for everyone, still think it was quite a worthy acquisitation for me, then again I had long been hoping for a game like this and while it wasn't exactly what I hoped for it got close enough to do it for me. With any luck the game will continue to be developed once fully released since it manage to cash in quite well for a game produced by Expansive Works (or for a hunting game in general). Also a lot of the stuff tested on it will likely be added to The Hunter eventually. And now back to my usual rambling, I manage to get another T. rex making it six now: Ironically it took six bullets to kill (thankfully since I only had eight due to my last run in with a T.rex), I got very lucky - the animal was less than 50 meters away, but I was on top of a hill with decent cover and altough it picked my scent it didn't charge at me - the animal fell on catatonic state after the two initial hits allowing me to get very accurate shots in the chest, yet it still took six bullets to put down with five hits on the lungs and one in the heart (?!), at least I manage to get more than an 0% of integrity... One of the game devs has confirmed that there is no progress swipe planned which I do consider a good thing, but IDK about players on the PVP side of the game... Edit: 7th T.rex down, this one took quite a killing... Probably because I starting shooting from more than 150 meters away, I had to close up to fight more effectively but it was still a good 80 meters away when it finally went down.

New species to be added to the game via Steam Achievements: Quetzalcoatlus. It had been suspected for quite sometime since it was present in the game's artwork and the achievements that it will be added and be a huntable species (rather than an ambient one). In one way I'm glad that they decided to add it since it is very different to anything else in the game (for startes Pterosaurs weren't Dinosaurs) on the other hand I think I would rather have got a new herbivore dinosaurs since that makes already four carnivore animals. Also about that, there's no way that Quetzalcoatlus is gonna live up to what fossil evidence point out it was, it's was about as tall as a Giraffe and it's neck was longer, it's head was twice as long as the head of largest carnivorous dinosaurs, biomechanical anlysis seem to proof that it was able to fly at over 100 km/h on level flight, sustain that speed for days and gallop on land at high speeds. Theoretically it would be able to swallow an adult human beign whole and take off with no issue momments later. No way they will manage to make it that cool in the game prolly will just be flying around at attack you on flight (in spite of strong evicende that it hunt when on the ground)... Putting a drawing by Mark Witton to illustrate the size of the animal I'm talking about. On the spoiler shows a size comparation between a close relative of Quetzalcoatlus and Charcarodontosaurus a Theropod the size of T. rex.
