Erik's the thief who was caught steeling weapons. I really hope Telltale actually makes this judgment matter lain future episodes, and it wouldn't be too hard for that to happen.
If you showed him mercy, he comments on how he will never forget the debt he owes house Forrester. Maybe he'll wind up fighting for Asher in later episodes when he comes to Westros to kick Whitehill ass.
If you sent him to the wall, he can interact with Gared somehow. He'll probably be really bitter (pun not intended) towards Gared.
If you took his fingers, maybe he'll come to bite you in the ass later on. Rat you out to the whitehills, that sort of thing.
What do all of you think?

I'd like to think he'll play a role somehow. I don't think that though. I think he was just a chip to enhance Ethan's story.

I am betting he will at least show up on the Wall, and then promptly die because they are always losing members.

I really do hope that it makes some difference, same with letting the Whitehill live or not, and if Bowen lives or not.

Well, since I chose to send Erik to the wall, Gared might be getting an earful about it from him. As the maester mentioned to Ethan. Though, it couldn't hurt to try and make amends with him, right?
I thought it would be the best thing to do since he tried to steal and run from the house. As much as I wanted to show mercy, I thought that it would lead to others thinking they would get the same treatment. And I didn't wanna rip off three fingers from the man. That just seems too harsh in my book.

I doubt he'll get much more than a 400 days In Harm's Way cameo at the wall. Considering it seems like Gared goes north of the wall Erik might be a part of his group but he may get killed early on because his role is determinant.
