After fighting off Britt, the Bolton and Whitehill soldier, you are given the choice to determine the fate of the Whitehill soldier shortly after killing the Bolton soldier. Did you kill him out of vengeance or let him go to show mercy?
I decided to let him live. In past experiences in situations like this, I've learned that it's never a good idea to give into vengeance. And maybe it'll pay off since the Whitehills will have only lost one soldier instead of two.

Same, I mean it didn't feel right, and I am a man of the North, so... god I hope that doesn't come back to kick me in the ass.

I let him live. The family appeal gets to me. Although, considering my family, it ought to have the opposite effect.
Regardless, I'm hoping that he'll be posted with the garrison in Ironrath, and he'll turn a blind eye to some sneaky buisness that we'll inevitably be doing.

That would actually be pretty cool if they did that.

I must be the only one who killed him. I think he was a bolton soldier tho Nah, he was a Whitehill, for some reason the audio messes up (meaning Duncan doesn't say it), but if you do kill the guy the subtitles from Duncan say this "You killed a Bolton and a Whitehill". If you don't it only says "You killed a Bolton."

Though the subtitles suggest otherwise the Lord's actions make it seem as if the first guy you kill is a Whitehill and the optional guy is a Bolton. Regardless, I killed him.
