That's also why I didn't jump straight into the game after it was released. When it was still in development, I thought that it might be a good starting point for me, but after the premiere I've heard many people say that it shouldn't be played without any prior knowledge of the franchise. And besides, one of my co-workers is a complete maniac when it comes to GOT - she wouldn't shut up about it, although I didn't have any idea what she was talking about (I recall something about dragons or giants, whatever) - and when I once said that I was never interested in it, she kept pestering me every now and then to start watching the show. Well, now I have a reason Yep, you do now, trust me, you need prior knowledge, but once you have it, well, you will like it, the first episode is a bit of a slow burn, but the show and book can be like that to, its everything you would want from game based on this franchise, which means it doesn't pull any punches, anyone and I do mean ANYONE can die, not even player characters seeing how there is five, oh, and it has some of the hardest choices in any Telltale game, I mean it, if the other five episodes have choices as hard as these ones, I might need to start taking stress pills. I like it when a game has stressful choices, that's why I absolutely adore TWD1. I guess I have four (or is it five?) seasons of GOT ahead of me. EDIT: Yeah, just checked, it's four Anyways - as for TFTB, I didn't play any Borderlands game. I've heard that they are light on the plot, but is there something I need to know about? Because, to be honest, I don't really want to play through BL 1 and 2 right now to understand TFTB.

Not really, Borderlands 1 has pretty much no plot, 2 has a plot but not really a deep one, it actually explains the backstory at the start of the game, but for starters I guess, in 2 there is a really awesome badguy named Handsome Jack, he was really awesome and badass and had a evil corporation called Hyperion, at the end of 2 he dies, and that's really it, oh, and there is a ninja badass named Zero who is really awesome, no seriously that is all you need to know, if even that, there are small Easter Eggs here and there but big fans, but not much else beyond that.

The only reason why TFTBL dipped as low as 85 is because of that one biased critic who gave it a 65. It's 90+ in my mind. That kind of reminds me of the situation with Toy Story 3 reviews, where some idiots ruined the perfect 100% grade on RT. I remember this vividly. One of the negative reviews was notorious film reviewer troll Armond White. I think I got a bit too heated and mayyyyybe overreacted a tad. I may or may not have commented on his negative review hoping he and his whole family died, which may or may not have resulted in my banning from Rotten Tomatoes. I'd like to think I've grown up since then.* Call me a lot of things, but don't say I'm not passionate. Or that I'm not a humongous Toy Story fan. /end off-topic reminisce. *Only out of necessity. Nowadays posting slander like that on the Internet has the potential to ruin your life. I've always got that hidden rage stewing right below the surface.

Well, that was... not nice But I remember that I thought 'It's a pity that TS3 won't have a perfect score, but everybody's entitled to their opinion'. Well, that was until I actually read the review (I think it was White's, as you mentioned) which did not focus on the movie at all, but it was more about bashing the merchandise connected with it (as I recall). It wasn't a review, the guy was obviously trolling. Maybe he likes being an attention whore? Who knows. offtop: (...) but don't say I'm not passionate. Or that I'm not a humongous Toy Story fan. I am a huge fan of TS too, as the first two movies were a part of my childhood (it was weird watching the third one after so many years, but it was great). They make a fatanstic trilogy, that's why I was kind of... surprised (in a rather negative way) when I've heard they're making a fourth one (potentially as a new trilogy). Let the legend rest.

I actually thought GoT was better than TftB. I've played through Iron from Ice 3 times now.

If anything, TFTBL should be compared to Sam and Max, but maybe not even that.

I dunno, I think they still can be compared. TFTBL and normal BL games can't be compared. But both GoT and TFTBL still rely very heavily on story, characters and their relations. I thought all of those were better in TFTBL. It's just that one is much more serious than the other.

I don't think so mostly because of the massive tone difference, and the fact we have, or had, five characters vs two.

Oh I get you, I am a passionate fan of Toy Story also, that also reminds me of the time I looked up a review of Beauty and the Beast, and the guy hated it so bad he gave it a 1 out of 10 and said that it should never have been made, let's just say I have a few choice words for that scumbag and he should thank the stars above him that I didn't have an account on that website.

The games have completely diffrent tone, and that's about it. They still are the same genre, that makes them comparable in my eyes. Maybe that's just me.

I feel it makes a big change, but that is also just me, they were both really great, one I expected to be great and got everything I wanted out of it, the other I didn't expect to be great and had no idea what I would get out of it, but loved it regardless, in the end, win win.

Since Shade and Felix are determinant, what are the chances that we'll see them again? Shade may be (if not at all ) insane, but he seems like a reliable guy. But as for Felix, can we really trust the guy? Especially with the whole "honor among theives"?
