Zer0 sum has completely surpassed my expectations, it's the best thing Telltale has released for a while. Unfortunately, I think we're not getting episode 2 until february. I can wait, if it will be as long and good as the first one.

I think Borderlands to me is now one of my favorite Telltale Games and probably the best ever since Sam and Max. Goddamn I really missed the good ole comedy games made by Telltale.

I want to play both TFTB and GOT (because this time I'm waiting for their seasons to finish instead of playing episode by episode) and I checked out Metacritic, and...
TFTB - 85 GOT - 74 (mixed or average!)
I didn't play any of the Borderlands games and didn't watch/read anything GOT-related, but I thought that GOT will be higher rated, don't really know why. I intend on checking out both games, but it looks interesting that the less-hyped game is received better (just like it happened with TWAU and TWD2). As I preferred TWAU to TWD2 too, I am looking forward to TFTB a lot more.
Telltale, hurry up and release the entire season as fast as possible, I can't wait!
(BTW - it takes a lot of willpower not to give in and play the game right now. Really! Thought it would be a lot harder, but so far I've been able to avoid any major spoilers - even though I visit Telltale forums, as well as this one, from time to time)

GoT is definitely weaker, but still alright. I feel sorry for you, you're gonna have to wait a loooong while to play.

The only reason why TFTBL dipped as low as 85 is because of that one biased critic who gave it a 65. It's 90+ in my mind.

Maybe it's just because I've never seen GoT, but there was a few parts where I got slightly bored, where I was into TFTB the entire time, although I do think GoT should be and 8 rather than a 7.5.

Well it could be because it's for hardcore fans, seeing how it expects you to know all the names, and at the very least be past book three or season 3, which does alienatesome fans, that could be why I guess, I was fully into it 100%

Oh, you have no idea how hard it is. I do realize that with the bimonthly schedule, I'll probably have to wait until September at best to play them (or November, in case of GOT). Hopefully there won't be any rewrites. Right now I'm at this point in life (how dramatic... ) where I don't even play any games except the ones from TT - my last 'normal' games were Deadly Premonition and Arkham City. I don't even want to play games with big, complex gameplay mechanics. I'd rather have a TT game, which feels like a good ol' TV show. The thing is, being stuck with TT games only, I'm forced to endure a long wait. At least it's always worth the wait in the end. Being aware of that, I decided that I should probably watch the show, at least. I think it's a good idea - it'll make the wait for the complete game more bearable.

That kind of reminds me of the situation with Toy Story 3 reviews, where some idiots ruined the perfect 100% grade on RT.

It was the only Telltale episode this year that I didn't finish in one run. I just had to take a break for a while, because I was bored. Still, ending made up for it, mostly.

That's also why I didn't jump straight into the game after it was released. When it was still in development, I thought that it might be a good starting point for me, but after the premiere I've heard many people say that it shouldn't be played without any prior knowledge of the franchise. And besides, one of my co-workers is a complete maniac when it comes to GOT - she wouldn't shut up about it, although I didn't have any idea what she was talking about (I recall something about dragons or giants, whatever) - and when I once said that I was never interested in it, she kept pestering me every now and then to start watching the show. Well, now I have a reason Yep, you do now, trust me, you need prior knowledge, but once you have it, well, you will like it, the first episode is a bit of a slow burn, but the show and book can be like that to, its everything you would want from game based on this franchise, which means it doesn't pull any punches, anyone and I do mean ANYONE can die, not even player characters seeing how there is five, oh, and it has some of the hardest choices in any Telltale game, I mean it, if the other five episodes have choices as hard as these ones, I might need to start taking stress pills.
