Back on the topic of movies, I can safely say that I'm adding Hot Fuzz to my list of favorites. That movie was goddamn magical. I laughed, I cried. Not just saying that to be cliche either, there were moments where I teared up a little amidst the uproarious laughter.

Welp. Already talked about this on the book thread, but I watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Gotta say, the ending was much better in the movie. He was so close...

My favorite in the book as well, I do love that ending so much, did you know the writer of the book absolutely hated the film? Because they changed character perspective's, I personally think the writer was a bit strange.

Electric Kool Aid Acid Tests has the author as a main character. Turns out, he worked in a mental institution (where he allegedly knew my step-dad's mother, by the way), and then was one of the people who tested acid in the Government project MKULTRA. From there, he became huge in the counterculture movement, and huge in the drug world. An interesting dude, to say the least. Also, another thing that was interesting to me was that one of the first scenes takes place in a building I've been in multiple times.

Wow, that's fascinating, my dad actually met the guy once, he was suppose to show up a book signing, but the police pulled him over, so it got delayed, still showed up though. Quite the interesting guy, even taught English class later in life.

Finally managed to watch Aliens, and I gotta say that the Colonial Marines are pretty badass, despite that horrific first contact in the Alien Hive. Love the movie. On par with the first, though obviously for different reasons. Also, I read somewhere that in the third movie Newt and Hicks both fucking die OFFSCREEN and in light of that I'm taking Bio's advice and stopping the series here. That is a complete and utter load of horseshit.

Yeah, its the biggest amount of bullshit ever, and they kill off Ripley at the end, but then clone her with Alien DNA so we can have a forth movie that is beyond dumb. Alien 3 is not a good movie, hell, fucking Charles Dance, Tywin Lannister himself could not save that movie, and the forth one well... less aid the better. Yeah, trust me when I say Isolation is the best thing to happen to the series since Aliens, also don't play Colonial Marines, it plays like a fan fic, not kidding around. The most fan ficy part of ACM, is the fact they bring back Hicks, and don't bother explaining how or why, they just did. Its awful, its story is, well there barely is one, and what is there is again fan fic quality, hell I have read this IN THIS FORUM that was better quality then Aliens Colonial Marines story. Glad to hear you liked Aliens though.
