I feel like people saying ACOD is grindy are just like, objectively wrong, and this is coming from someone who doesn't think it's that amazing. Like the main quest seems to scale to your level which is literally the opposite of grindy, and if it only does that if you're over leveled then I've been over leveled the entire game, which also the exact opposite of being grindy.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the main quest(at least, the "Odyssey" quest) is supposed to end around level 35 but I was almost level 50 when I reached it. I guess the problem is the really big jump from the "Odyssey" ending at 35 and then requiring you to be level 50 to finish the Cult of Kosmos and Atlantis storylines. You need to finish all three to actually beat the game, but again, I was just around level 50 when I finished the Odyssey so the only bit of "grinding" I had to do was just a short bit of time doing some sidequests I'd skipped earlier around Sparta. I guess I've heard that you have to "grind" if you just try to play through the main quest without doing many sidequests which like, if you're playing it like that I don't think that's really how it was ever intended to be played? Playing the main quest and sidequests keeps you massively overleveled so there's no way the game was designed around microtransactions like some people are saying :P

Two storylines down, one to go. I know the last artifact is in Lesbos, but bc I refused to watch that video Ubisoft put out showing the whole Medusa storyline, I'm not really sure where to start. Guess I'm just gonna go around the island doing sidequests until I find it.

Finished all three main storylines and all sidequests with any story I cared about (I've only got like 3-4 left to do and they're all basic fetch quests)... I'm a little less than 90 hours in... I'm probably gonna keep playing a bit for the war contracts and I'm so close to getting all the trophies that I may as well. Really I'm gonna wait for legendary mercenaries and ships to start showing up. I'm hoping the Lost Tales of Greece start soon but really I think those might be a while, so the next big bit of content will be Legacy of the First Blade in December... ugh, the wait is gonna kill me.
Anyway, def my fav Assassin's Creed by a longshot, and probably breaks into being one of my fav games of all time. Can't wait to replay it once they add New Game+

lol they were literally going to have a "(?) ____ will remember that" thing and breakdowns of your choices at the end of every episode. They were really taking a lot of inspiration from Telltale, huh?

The Fate of Atlantis? Maybe?? Oh come on! Who the hell at Ubisoft got the idea nobody liked the codex or snarky British people. Ugh. Well then its already not going to be my favorite of the series. And I guess discovery tour is coming back. I suppose that's not bad.

Wonderful. And yet they had William in the last game which meant nothing to new players. When they said they got Telltale employees, they didn't care to mention if it was ANF crew?

The one totally new character, Alannah, is probably my fav of the bunch(she a trainee Assassin/Historian so she gets to lke, geek out about history and she looks up to Layla as a friend/mentor so that's a neat dynamic). Victoria is ok, I know she's a big character in Last Descendants and the other novels so idk I like her relationship with Layla even if it feels like a retread of her dynamic with Dee from Origins. As a fan of the comics it was cool to hear Kiyoshi(for whatever reason he gets no screentime), and I think he fufills an interesting role in the story if you dig through the emails. Other than that he is just kinda there tho lol Kinda hoping the Fate of Atlantis storyarc will expand on the MD plot bc it is a little bare bones, esp for the amount of stuff that happens in it and the pressure put on some of the final moments.

Also I presume we aren't ever going to get back to Juno.

Also I presume we aren't ever going to get back to Juno. Nah the whole previous MD plot was wrapped up in the Assassinβs Creed: Uprising comics. basically Desmond had a son he never knew about who was the new Saga but was able to resist the Sageβs memories. The templars and assassinβs teamed up to stop Junoβs Cult, which was able to revive her using the Shroud of Eden. Desmondβs son (forgot his name) used a piece of eden called the Koh-I-Noor to kill Juno, but Otso Berg betrayed the assassinβs so Charlotte, the main character of the comics, died. Desmondβs son escaped with the Koh-I-Noor, and I guess somewhere between the end of Uprising and the start of Odyssey, Kiyoshi and Harlan(the captured assassins) escaped
