I actually started 2 fanfics before.. but they were terrible. The first took place between A New Day and Starved For Help... but it was terrible. The second took place between No Going Back and All That Remains and it focused on Kenny... but while it was better than the first, it was also pretty bad.
Hopefully, this one isn't absolute rubbish. Third time's the charm, right?
It takes place 6 years into the apocalypse, and carries on from the Wellington ending(although technically it could carry on from any ending if you assume Clem and AJ eventually ended up in Wellington).
I've also got a document filled with vague descriptions of things that will/might happen later in the story- it's always good to plan ahead, after all, although I don't think I've planned quite far enough yet, as I still have no idea how I'm going to end the story.
Also, I've got a few different titles in my mind, but I'm currently leaning towards "After Wellington". I'll let you guys decide, with the poll.
Also also, chapter 1 is way too short... I'll try to make the other chapters longer.
One more thing- I've finally made an account on fanfiction.net, I'm probably going to post chapter 1 on there(or a revised version if I decide to make any changes to it) at some point tomorrow evening.
One more final tiny little thing to note: All criticism is welcome.
Alvin Jr was still fast asleep (He always wore earplugs in bed so gunfire wouldn't wake him), so Clem made sure not to disturb him as she got dressed and moved toward the entrance of Wellington. As she got closer, her eyes widened as she realised what was happening.
Wellington's guards had all been shot dead, and the 3 adults that remained in the community were carrying AK-47s, fighting back against a large group. The people that had shot the guards seemed to be bandits, but they were too large in number, too organised and too well-equipped to be any ordinary bandits.
Clementine watched, frozen with shock, as Christa was shot in the shoulder and fell backwards onto the ground. Clem ran over to Christa, helping her up off the ground, as Edith and Anna were shot in the head and killed right before her eyes.
Clementine, Christa and Alvin Jr were now the only Wellington residents left. Christa yelled "Quick, through the back!", and ran through where AJ was sleeping and picked him up, with Clem following her. They escaped through the emergency exit in the back of Wellington and didn't stop running until they were sure that the attackers had stopped chasing them.
After putting AJ back down, Christa breathed a sigh of relief, then flinched as she felt a sharp pain in the shoulder where she had been shot. "So", Clem asked worriedly, "Where do we go now?"
"Wherever we can", came Christa's sombre reply. Clementine glanced over at AJ, who was trying to hide his tears with his hat. Clem sighed, the hat having reminded her of her old acquaintance. "I miss Kenny."
Christa looked at Clementine, not sure how to respond. "I..." The words seemed to form on their own, and seemed somehow familiar as she found herself saying them. "I'm sure you do, Clem."
The three-person group had been forced out of their home so suddenly, it felt like a bad dream. The people of Wellington had become like family to them over the last 4 years, and for them to all be killed so quickly... it was horrible.
While AJ didn't have any idea what was going on, Christa and Clem had the same question on their minds- 'Who were the people who attacked Wellington?'
Suddenly, a muddy, blue car came out of the trees and stopped right in front of the trio. There were two people in the car- in the passenger's seat, a one-armed man with short brown hair. In the driver's seat, a red-haired woman who seemed vaguely familiar to Clementine.
When the driver got out and apologised for almost crashing, Clementine suddenly realised who this woman was and uttered her name in disbelief.
"Bonnie?!"

Chapter 1: The Fall of Wellington
In the middle of the night, Clementine was woken up by gunfire- this was not unusual, as the Wellington guards often had to shoot hordes of walkers that got near, and she had gotten used to it over the 4 years that she'd lived there. However, Clementine noticed that Christa, who usually slept next to her, was gone. Alvin Jr was still fast asleep (He always wore earplugs in bed so gunfire wouldn't wake him), so Clem made sure not to disturb him as she got dressed and moved toward the entrance of Wellington. As she got closer, her eyes widened as she realised what was happening.
