Sorry to burst your bubble but... Bluebeard is indeed a villain, he tries to kill both Bigby and Snow White, but Prince Charming kills him when he finds out. He was off to such a great start, in the first two volumes. Yeah.......

Bluebeard's an asshole, why do you like him Because he's an asshole who isn't the villain. Too often in media, they have nothing but people who are a-okay, or people who are only kinda assholes until you get to know them better. There are rarely pure assholes, and I always root for the pure assholes, because they're so underrepresented. If most of these stories were real, it'd be two or three likable characters, with like five pure assholes. Instead, we usually get zero.So you like Bluebeard because he's an asshole?

In all fairness, this is basically the same reason for people liking Jack.

I've heard it's like an alternative Universe or something?

I've heard it's like an alternative Universe or something? Umm.... No. Jack is eventually exiled from Fabletown, but not before he manages to make himself the most poweful/popular Fable in the universe. The Jack books follow his adventures after this.

Well if we all know that everyone eventually dies, then why the fuck should we even continue reading?

Well if we all know that everyone eventually dies, then why the fuck should we even continue living? Journey, not destination.

Well if we all know that everyone eventually dies, then why the fuck should we even continue reading? Because you can just pretend it ends at The Great Fables Crossover, which actually works as a good ending.
