It's not often that Telltale makes games with anything beyond an exaggerated cartoon art style (seeing as how that allows them to make games quicker), but it's not impossible. Jurassic Park and CSI at this point are some of the only titles I can recall that used a realistic art style, but that was before Telltale starting using a higher budget for their games from Walking Dead on wards (I saw on an article that Walking Dead had an extra 40% budget compared to their normal games). I'd guess that Game of Thrones will use a realistic art style, but as I said above, we won't know how bad/good it will look until we get screens as this is likely the first realistic game Telltale will make on a higher budget with more experienced staff that joined Telltale after the success of Walking Dead. Your right, those two games were more realistic looking, they are also the least liked far as I am aware.

CSI at least has the excuse of being shovelware from a very early era of Telltale, but I'm surprised at how Jurassic Park turned out. Again, though, Telltale now has a higher budget, more experienced staff that joined after Walking Dead, the tailored choice gameplay, and if that Reddit AMA from October is to be believed, a notably improved engine that "ships [this] summer."

A new improved engine? Interesting, and yeah they have improved a lot since JP, I mean they went from one of there worst, to one of there best in my opinion, I think they can do it.

Technically, the engine gets minor improvements across each game, but there have been a few times where the engine made a notable leap in improvement. I think one instance of this is the jump from Strong Bad to Wallace and Gromit.

I am going to assume a very long time with a lot of improvements and modifications, I suppose it is time for a new engine.

It goes back to like 2005 or something I think. Perhaps they actually are going to use a new engine instead of an upgraded engine soon, if the ".ttarch 2" files in the newer games from Wolf Among Us onward are any indication.

Man that is a long time, that is nearing COD levels of engine use, yeah I would say its time for something new.

To be fair, TTG does something different in terms of vibe/story every time, so it's not as bad as COD's reuse of engine. Though I'd say that it's probably time for them to bump things up a bit and streamline some back-end stuff if they need to.

Oh no, I wasn't saying its like COD, shoot me the day I think that, I was just saying the COD engine is about 10 years old, that was all.

I'm getting neither of those games. Not TFBL. Not GOT. NONE. I have no interest at all and I don't intend on playing them. If someone plays them on Youtube then I may watch but there is no way in hell that I am laying my fingers on either of those games. TWD and TWAU are the only ones I care about. Lets leave it at that.

inb4 Gavin Hammond is cast to voice a main character in GoT and TKA inexplicably develops an interest in the world of Westeros.

I'm sure that before you played TWD and TWAU you cared about them as much as you care about TFBL and GOT now. Come on, you have to give new things a try.

Actually, I cared about TWD and TWAU a lot before I played them because I watched them on Youtube and got really into them.
