Borderland's strong point really isn't the storyline, but its individual characters are beautifully crafted. If Telltale can get the story (which should be their strength) to mesh with that signature Borderlands characterization, I think they'll have a winner on their hands. That is very true, the environment and over arching story is not the strong suit, its the characters, and Telltale is really good at the other two, so yeah I agree, do all three well, and its a hit.

This is the last piece of news i saw about GOT Maybe they might premier it at PAX? I'm doubting a premiere. Some basic information about the game to get the snowball rolling is more likely. For comparison, think back to that SXSW panel they held for the Tales from the Borderlands panel where they covered basic plot details and showed a single in game screenshot. Yeah, that is sort of what i meant but i should have worded it better. If they do make any GOT announcements it will probably be basic stuff like what they did with Tales from the Borderlands.

But really anything would be nice, even if its basic like Borderlands.

I think they should just keep the same art style as Season 2 or something cause I don't think it can get any more comic book-ie if they update the art style again.
That way, they can possibly release the 3rd season maybe march 2015 or something.

They look a lot cleaner than Season 2's but they're also a lot different to Season 2's so it'd be better to only use some parts of it.

A cleaner look wouldn't necessarily work well with the disheveled apocalyptic setting.

They just need to touch it up a bit.

I'm not fully sure. I think with episode 1 specifically it looked kind of like everything was made of plastic, and the black outlines around the characters seemed too thick. I think it's improved over time but it's still a little bit weird. I think they could probably refine that by thinning out the black lines slightly and doing other stuff that I'm not sure about. It's definitely a darn sight better than Season 1's graphics where the black lines were floating several centimetres off of a character's face, though.

If it looked plastic, then I think there'd need to be more detail (lines, color variation etc.) in the objects. Most of the effect is achieved through handpainting the textures, while the outermost outlines are a post-processing effect in their 3d program of choice, so it'd be relatively easy for them to change the thickness if they wanted to. And no kidding. You should see some of the shadows when I try to play season 1 at 2880x1800.

How will they do that? Because a comic book art style is not the first thing I think of when I hear GOT.

I wasn't aware, I thought it was just the show and book, okay then, does anyone know what continuity it will be? I mean yeah the show and book are extremely similar, but there are differences, perhaps not enough to warrant what TWD did, which is separate universes, but still, is it based on the book or the show? Also on a side note, if they had any characters from the show, which is somewhat likely, will some be voiced by there respectable actors from the show maybe?

It's not often that Telltale makes games with anything beyond an exaggerated cartoon art style (seeing as how that allows them to make games quicker), but it's not impossible. Jurassic Park and CSI at this point are some of the only titles I can recall that used a realistic art style, but that was before Telltale starting using a higher budget for their games from Walking Dead on wards (I saw on an article that Walking Dead had an extra 40% budget compared to their normal games).
I'd guess that Game of Thrones will use a realistic art style, but as I said above, we won't know how bad/good it will look until we get screens as this is likely the first realistic game Telltale will make on a higher budget with more experienced staff that joined Telltale after the success of Walking Dead.
