"People that liked the first game may not like the second" Wow way to alienate your fanbase ND Honestly, this kinda confirms my suspicions that I'm gonna love Part II, while most everyone else here will hate it. I liked The first, but I didn't love it. I'm basically loving everything we've seen of Part II so far.

"People that liked the first game may not like the second" Wow way to alienate your fanbase ND context? I only found it in a bullet point list of what was said during the PSX panel.

I only found it in a bullet point list of what was said during the PSX panel. I'll put that in my folder of Drunkmann is fucking insane. What? Don't make a sequel and flat out said people that loved the first masterpiece will be pissed. Great marketing.

Oh cool, the actor playing Lev was on the OA. I really liked their character on that show.

"People that liked the first game may not like the second" Wow way to alienate your fanbase ND So the quote comes from Troy, and that's not an exact quote. He said that people will either love or hate the game, and that they wanted to avoid anyone reacting to it with "eh". He also said that if they went into it trying to make people like it, or make it better than the first, or make it still feel like the first, than it wouldn't be right for the game they're making. It's about 38 minutes into the panel so you can watch it for yourself.

So according to Shawn Layden, TLOU2 is one of their big things for E3 this year (this quote is taken from a transcription of a podscast on reddit. Haven't listened to the podcast myself, but TLOU's reddit community is pretty reliable):

tbh probably not a big loss :P I'm honestly glad that new Sucker Punch game is getting the spotlight instead. I thought Infamous Second Son was pretty great.

Days Gone is supposed to release in 2019
and I doubt Sony is gonna delay TLOU2 until 2020 for it... so either they come out different halves of the year or Days Gone flops.
Tbh TLOU2 and Spyro are the only games I have any stake in for this e3, unless Nintendo announces some stuff now I have a switch.

In an interview with the director of Days Gone he said it was going to release early 2019, and that it'd be before TLOU2

The last time there was a Nintendo sanctioned tournament was the launch of sm4sh. There's no way this is a port. Personally, I'm excited for tlou2 and smash. Nothing else really. Nintendo isn't announcing anything that isn't coming out this year, so Zelda's off the table
