Surprised we don't have a thread for this.
Anyway, I'm a huge fan of The Head and the Heart. Super excited to see them at Art Park is a few months!
I'm also a really big fan of First Aid Kit, Bear's Den, Mumford and Sons, Of Monsters and Men, Mac DeMarco, The Oh Hellos, Castanets, Anadel, Springtime Carnivore -
I'm actually an unironic fan of Gotye. Eyes Wide Open, Hearts a Mess, and learnalittlegivingaloving are all great, and so are the joke songs like Thanks for Your Time and State of the Art.
Ashley Barret is a great singer, and to talk about composers for a second, Darren Korb and Austin Wintory are fantastic.
Back to bands, I'm also a big fan of Dawes, Woodkid, Hozier, Crystal Skulls, Sales, Wild Rivers, The Paper Kites, and Greg Laswell.
Troy Baker does music and it's actually really great.
And then of course, David Bowie.

In Flames is my all time favorite band, but I listen to pretty much anything these days. It just depends on the mood I'm in.
Modern country is great to listen to while getting back home during rush hour. It's just a "feel good" genre.
Classical is nice to have as background noise while studying.
Metal is my go-to genre for just relaxing.
Can't stand most modern rap or techno in general, though. Awful.

My favorite artist is probably Kanye West. It's a shame he's such a dumbass lately. His old stuff was definitely better, but his new stuff still has what made me like him in the first place. He's still genuine and honest in an industry that rewards being fake and lame. He's the one that singlehandedly destroyed gangster rap, and hip hop is better for him having put out records.
I listen to pretty much everything though.
