Didn't know where else to put this but in the general section.
Anyway, pretty simple, do you still want to see Telltale succeed? Do you want to see them turn it around and return to the days of TWD S1 and TWAU, or would you rather they collapse and let some new studio lead the way?
Personally, I do want to see them succeed, and this may be an unpopular opinion, but I think they can still do that on their present course. As in, no need to massively change the formula or anything like that, just restructure the company a bit, and start writing good stories again. I personally think there's a lot of value in the way Telltale creates their series' right now, and I think the main problem is just bad writing plain and simple. Hopefully, after ANF, with the new CEO we can see Telltale start to just turn things around.

My expectations and desires are conflicting.
I want them to improve for Thrones' sake. If season 2 is ANF quality it might just do me in - and at this rate I honestly never want it to come. I hope this slump is due to Bruner, but I don't have a lot of faith and don't believe they will improve.
If they do a season 4 of TWD and it's TWD2 quality, then so fucking be it. I'd take that over their four previous games.

Don't really care tbh, I don't want Thrones 2 because of Jake's reasons above, and I forgot Guardians was a thing until Pika told me Episode 2 was out soon. Don't even care anymore, so they can succeed or not, whatevs.

Of course I want them to succeed. When they succeed they give us gems like TWDS1 and TFTBL.
However I'm fully expecting them to fail given the steaming shits they've been pushing out lately that they try to pass off as games.

I think the times of their greatest successes are past them. Ever since TFTBL none of their games were interesting. (Batman was mixed-to-good, but I think it's more of the former than the latter)
Right now, they need something as great as TWDS1 or TFTBL to back in the game, which will be hard, given that their most talented writers left the studio. I'm not trying to say that new people can't be better, but the ones they hired to write their games now are... well, not good, to say the least.

Of course I do. They've made games that have made and still make me outrageously happy. Them succeeding means I attain more happiness.
I feel all they need is a solid leader. One with purpose and direction. That's it. Everyone needs to know what they're doing and where they're going. It shouldn't be that hard of a fix.

I hope they get their shit together, but won't be surpirsed if they go out of business soon. They used to announce tons of projects every year, but now they're silent about anything new

Super show is 100% dead at this point, ANF basically ruined the franchise, GOTG is DOA. My guess is that their next game will be Thrones 2. Who knows what comes after that. I'm actually starting to wonder whether they'll be that desperate to try and make a deal with DC to push out TWAU 2.

Yeah man, I still want them to succeed. If they can do another game with the same effect on me as TWDS1, then I'm down to it. I just don't think they currently can. But eh, maybe someday, right?

Super show is 100% dead at this point Wonder if Lionsgate pulled their investment and partially caused Telltale's current condition (though Telltale is as much to blame for putting out shoddy horseshit) My guess is that their next game will be Thrones 2. My guess is if it's ever coming, they'll capitalise on the show being around in July-August and announce it then.

If they stop being lazy and actually invest themselves in a game like they did back in the days with TWD S1 and S2, yeah, I'd like them to succeed. I mean, I don't hate Telltale. Their last 3-4 games all sucked, but that doesn't mean I hate the company. I'll just stop buying their crap, and maybe if future games get better, I'll check it out and give it a chance again. It's a free market. Quality will prevail. If they make quality games, great.

Wonder if Lionsgate pulled their investment and partially caused Telltale's current condition (though Telltale is as much to blame for putting out shoddy horseshit Well, Lionsgate partnered up with them to produce that super show, whatever it was. Job himself said that we should get some news before the end of 2016. Maybe Lionsgate backed out of the deal and both companies decided it'll be better not to announce it. Lionsgate probably lost the money they invested and TT thought that cancellation of the title won't look good on their part. My guess is if it's ever coming, they'll capitalise on the show being around in July-August and announce it then. I said sometime ago that they'll probably start releasing the game in between seasons. Are you ready to see the updated models of your favorite characters? I know I am. (with said models likely created during the lunch break and not reminiscent of the ones used in S1)

I'm starting to wonder if the drop in sales is really just a product of bad writting/gameplay. I might be wrong, but I think that "interactive novel" style games might be falling out of fashion again (they already did once back in the 90's IIRC), it is a kind of game genre that hasn't seen much innovation since the TWDG:Season 1 (with the possible exception of Until Dawn but I hesitate to consider that a true interactive novel), add to that the fact that there had been massive hiatus between the seasons of all TTG series and the many uninteresting series that were started in between and it's not hard to guess why the interest on telltale products has gradually weathered down.
If they want to succeed they need to bring back their A game and they need to innovate and take risks, make a videogame that like TWDG:S1 had hundreds of lines of dialogue which many players may not even know they were there, something complex and with a "soul". I feel though that they may had taken too long to react, they should had been seeing this coming since the ending of GOT:S1.

Rodrik/Asher will die in a shitty flashback, Talia will get shot in the head with an arrow as a shock death, and then Ryon won't even appear because his actor's balls dropped 2 years earlier.

LiS was an interactive novel and it was a juggernaut in terms of sales. The genre isn't dead.
